Advice on issue with used car

does that become a bit subjective - maybe gearbox oil needs changing, but clutch release&rev-matching might need more delicacy/nack, as miles accumulate.

Did they have no theory on - what previous work caused bolt for injector restraining to snap, though.
It's an automatic (DSG), so can't really be driver error.

The bolts are apparently quite common, they reckon they do at least 1 of these jobs a week. The explanation he gave me is that the bolt is stretching on a microscopic level from the pressure exerted by the injectors pushing up on it and eventually the stress makes it snap.

I think you need to find a way of getting shot of it, it's going to be a total money pit, and eventually the garage won't want to know.
On one hand I think we need to hand it back, on the other there can't be much more to go wrong now, plus looking at other reviews on Google he is likely to deduct around £500 on the refund for the use we've had from it. (If he will even accept it back) Potentially the £200 we've just paid won't get covered by either him or the warranty company either, so that's £700 (ignoring all other costs we've incurred) that we won't see back. For a vat we've used for 2 months.

It's a crappy situation to be in, the missus was in actual tears about it when we heard the noise from the gearbox the other day, she's utterly and utterly fed up with the car and the whole situation.
