I will be P/X's my Laguna estate 03 plate he has guranteed me anywhere between 1,500 - 2,000 pounds + i will be adding an extra 1,500 cash on top with the balance going on finance.

So what do you think?

Cheers,

Doesnt appear to have any options apart from the recaros are these genuine full leather recaros that were standard in the 220 or are they the normal full leather armchairs? 1 owner is good but I think it is overpriced for the market for these now! Do you do enough miles to justify the Diesel as the 220 is better in almost every way except fuel economy.

they look like they were certainly manufactured by recaro but don't have the badge (not uncommon)
the trouble with mondeos is they depriciate a lot! you may not get much back on your purchase...

Ye they are the proper recaros, badge is on the seat back, both look a little worn and showing signs of fat occupants though! I definitely would have thought you could get a fully loaded one with similar miles/age for about the same or less price though, be aware these suffer from quite a few reliability issues so if you get one with a ford warranty, definitely extend it for that piece of mind.

How can it be a ripoff if its the going rate

It does seem a bit expensive, but thats because its a bit over the going rate

I don't know, I guess a 3 year old mondeo type car with 51k just seemed expensive to me!

I am fairly sure other brands (honda, Vauxhall, Toyota etc) don't sell for this much money!

You mean like a Honda Accord 2.2 iCTDI Sport?

Vauxhall and Toyota dont really offer anything comparable IMO. Its only 3 years old and high spec with one of the best engines in the range...10k is a tad overpriced but its not far off

At 90k there's probably more than one owner, possibly being sold privately so without a warranty. On a car that has potential issues when it starts to get to 80~90k, lower mileage plus warranty is worth a lot

When you refer to fully loaded are you refering to extras like electric windows, heated seats etc?

There is no way I'd spend £10,000 on a Mk3 Mondeo.

If you want a Mk3 Mondeo - great, as they are excellent cars. Just spend less on one.

£9k but I wouldnt pay that for it, either. It offers poor value at this sort of price level. You dont need nearly £10k for a good Mk3 Mondeo. You can get them for much less.
