Hi all.
Just fishing for some expert adivce. ;)

I currently have a 500GB hard drive, which is filling up fast.

In your opinions, do you think i should purchase an SSD (to transfer the OS and startup programs onto and free up some space) and an external 500GB+ HDD, or,
just buy another internal 500GB+ HDD?
(Only have 1 hard drive bay left as its a Dell BTX case)

Thanks in advance

Jack

Buy an SSD and an internal 500gig, you can use the 3.5inch bay trays which are for DVD-roms to store an extra HDD.

Other than that, get an SSD and a 1gig internal

Ahh good point yea i have 1 free. So in total 2 bays.

So i'll get an SSD and a 1TB internal HDD.

What SSD size and Model would you recommend? Dont want to spend big bucks. The only programs i run on startup apart from Vista and its utilities is EVGA precision and McAfee?

Also Another Seagate Barracuda HDD or is there a better one to get?

Thank you verrrry much :D

size wise to last you would be 128gb if you can stretch, as you find you run out of space on the 64gb one (keep 20-30gb free on any SSD)
£181 for an corsair S128 (only 2 left) or OCZ Agility £253 (for faster data rate) or Corsair P128 £262
or for 64gb samsung £90 or G.Skill Falcon 64GB £151 (2.5x faster on data rate)

the faster data rate ones not likely see much improvement (1-4 secs faster) just more price tag
