after some LAN games

Vietcong is fantastic, but a little old. SWAT4 and Raven Shield are the best FPS for Co-op gameplay. Age of Empires 2 is also great fun for resources.

I can say you'll love em all. :)

some great recommendations,

lets narrow it down a little,

Would be good to have 2 very good co-op FPS's, we're about 5-6 players so it'd need to support that much either going through the campaign or scenarios.

SWAT4 looks great, as does Raven Shield even though its a little old now but I've heard loads of good things about it.

Is AvP 2 co-op? The first one was where you could both hold up in a bunker with endless Aliens coming, that was pretty awesome but I can't remember if the 2nd was.

Are there any fun sports games out there? In the same way Flatout2 is awesome fun and not too serious, a sports game that is the same would be excellent.

RPG I'm a little stuck still, how is Neverwinter Nights 2? Allow 5-6 player co-op? It's a little 'deep' isn't it? Rather than Diablo-esque.

for the sports games maybe Tiger Woods or either the pro evo or fifa football games? you can play all in the same team or against each other (though i suppose you'd need a joypad) - could be a good laugh?

How many players are you talking about? if it's 4+ then get (if you don't have it already) Warcraft3 and Frozen Throne Expansion (you can probably pick them up for about £15) and play the DoTA mod - stupidly addictive and great fun. You've also then got the normal RTS mode to play and a fantastic single player game!

Classic! We played this for ages at i28 & i30

The trouble with the co-op mode with 4 or 5 of you is you just keep messing around with your team, spraying pepper in their face and using taser gun on your mates! :D I don't think we had a proper game.

Also Fear is pretty good MP. Im sure a while back they released a stand alone free MP version.

Something fun to pass some time is warcraft 3 tower defense, late at night when all tierd its a lot of fun :)

For FPS you could try Hidden-Source:Beta It's starting to look a little dated along with the source engine but its a fantastic co-op for 8v1. Very atmospheric was always a good one for our LAN's at two in the morning :)

Another vote for SWAT 4 and Ghost Recon here. Though I'm actually banned from using grenades when I play with my mates, as I have a tendancy to bounce them off walls and land them at our feet.... :(

PK!

what about star wars clone campaigns? basically aoe (i think 2) but in star wars theme. Me and the brother recently have been playing that game on my like 100 year old laptop and dads 100 year old pc and it works great.

hey guys, what fps actually allow for the players to go through the campaign or story missions together? Not just random stuff thrown together.

I know of Serious Sam 2,

heres the rest of my list,

Rainbow 6: Raven Shield
Rainbow 6: Ghost Recon
Rainbow 6: Lockdown
Rainbow 6: Vegas
Serious Sam 2
Operation Flashpoint
SWAT 4 + Expansion
Joint Operations + Expansion
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death
Star Wars Battlefront 2
Full Spectrum Warrior
Aliens vs. Predator 1
Aliens vs. Predator 2
Hidden & Dangerous 2
No One Lives Forever 2
Deadly Dozen 2: Pacific Theatre
Close Combat: First to Fight
Armed Assault

any of those should I consider over the others? I tried that Joint Ops but we kept getting an error on the LAN, I looked it up and it didn't like that we had only 1 copy of the game unfortunately.

tried putting on Dungeon Siege2 but that ran like a dog on some of the pcs and to be fair looked a little crap compared to stuff like Diablo 2 (but D2 is a case of been there, done that...)

any feasible alternatives? (Not Titan Quest if possible)

Strategy still a little stuck on, would like a WW2 game where you gather up resources but they're pretty sparse I believe. It may be a case of returning to an older game.

if I could get about 2 or 3 seriously good co-op games that run on lower specced machines as well as high ones that'd be awesome. Preferably each having a different feel to it.
