Hey guys,

I currently use a custom fan curve on MSI AB for my 2070S. I have the fans kicking in at 50c, but in CS GO the GPU is really underworked and therefore, the temps go a bit over 50c and the fans kick in, then back down below 50c and they stop, then the cycle starts over..

Can I set the curve to kick in around 60c to stop them kicking in and dropping all the time?

Or is that too high / unsafe?

60c should be fine
Most zero rpm cards so to speak
Don't spin up to about 65c as far as I remember
If I remember wrong sure some one will soon say so lol
 
Even better, you'll be totally okay letting the fans come on at 60c. You might cap out a degree or two higher than before with the fans coming on later, but if you're topping out at 70c now, that's really of no concern.
 
I have mine like this (EVGA GTX 1080Ti@stock)

Kicks in when needed and ramps up, not going above 75c. You want to keep it below 75 or the card will probably start clocking down.

Like this the core will boost to 1949 and happily sit there. Mem will boost to 5508mhz

What is your idle and load temps with that fan curve?
