aftershave..

Issey Miyake - L'Eau D'Issey for evening.

For day to day CK is the main man IMO.
L'Eau D'Issey's daywear. I also have/use Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male. For eveningware, I have... Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme, Armani Code, Ghost Male and Drakkar Noir. Michael Korrs is also good. :)

Issey Mayake for the day and Comme des Garcons for the evening = Pure GQ
Issey for daywear?! I hope you go easy on the trigger :D

Which Comme des Garcons? There are over 40 [very!] different CdGs. D'you mean 2 Man? That's a cracker, but a bit of an acquired taste :)

For day-to-day office wear, you really want something that doesn't shout. Something like Bulgari Pour Homme, Mugler Cologne [stronger than 'cologne' strength] or if you really want to push the boat out, Scuzi's mentioned some great Creeds - Green Irish Tweed and Silver Mountain Water are both premier league.

Come evening [and I'm guessing you mean in a clubbing sense, rather than a formal sense], you could go L'eau d'Issey, Joop! or JPG, but they are the three most popular mens fragrances by a long way. 212 is always popular with the ladies, and has a cool magnetic top; Paco Rabanne Black XS or Sean John Unforgivable offer sweet fresh-and-fruity alternatives. Or again, you could splash out on some Creed; the gentleman's choice - and contrary to what branddaly said, they don't just do 'old man' scents. :)

[EDIT: Re Issey for daywear] Nothing, but it is a very strong scent with massive sillage [the scent 'trail' you leave behind as you walk], so it should be used lightly if you're working among lots of other people.

On the other hand, if you're a shepherd or lighthouse keeper, knock yourself out :D

gucci rush is my choice, but it's a bugger to get hold of
Excellent choice, though sadly you're right. I haven't discovered any mainstream fragrances similar enough yet, either.

You might like some of Comme Des Garcons' Incense series if it's the cedar notes of Rush that you like, or possibly even Serge Lutens' Chene, which is the smell of freshly worked wood in a bottle :)

im gonna go wild and say go to Next for your daywear!

they have some really nice smelling fragrances. usually about £15 for a 100ml bottle!

Armani Acqua Di Gio
Chanel Allure Sport
Joop Go!
Nikos Sculpture - A bit more unusual but similar style to the above and I don't smell like every other bugger wearing Issey ;)

I used to wear Issey, but didn't like the smell too much myself (was on the recommendation of some female friends)

Now I use JPG, and don't know a single woman who doesn't love it, and I happen to as well :D

i have some paul smith:stories, and some of that davendoff deep blue, and am gonna get some clinque happy yet, i like the paul smith stuff tho, never had any complaints about that.

Discovery by Ralph Lauren is nice... Picked it up in Singapore about 6 months ago... think it is out in the Uk now :)
