I just checked the Ara trailer out after reading this and it looks excellent.Yeah definitely good for me, Gamepass has some crackers coming over the next few months, Age of Mythology, Ara History Untold and Indiana Jones Great Circle![]()
You just install it through Windows Store or the Xbox app.
Ah cool so it just initiates the installer via the store webpage and once installed you can launch it locally so no drm platform as such ok thanks.
This is out today. Anyone tried it?
My wife is sat at work counting down the hours until home time so she can go play![]()
If you're familiar with the gameplay of AoE 1 & 2 you'll be right at home here. Mechanically plays the same, just has a fantasy/mythology theme.Do love my old school type RTS games like starcraft 2 and age of empires series, but have little memory of this game, it passed me by, does it operate much like the age of empires games ? reviews seem positive
I'm sure @mrk will be along any minute to show you the error of your waysEnjoying it, but I can't say that I really notice the ray tracing effects very much, but then I haven't done an on/off comparison.
Fond memories of playing this back in the day with my Dad on the PC in the corner of the kitchen![]()

True, no cars in this game ... and perhaps Minotaur buttocks aren't his thing. He doesn't play games like this. The screenshot opportunities aren't there for him.
If you have gamepass its on there. I've enjoyed it for what it is but as much as I loved Age of Mythology 22 years ago, times have moved on and things like Gates of Hell have raised the bar for what I expect from these sorts of "RTS". Its a nice trip down memory lane but not one I'd spend money on (beyond it being on gamepass)Is this worth picking up or waiting for a bit? I don't want to ruin my youngster memories of this one.
