Personally I am 43 yrs old, next Thursday the 12th......and I passed my DAS last February 2011, only been riding a little over one year so far. Have been driving a car since I was 17 yrs old.
Wish I had been riding since I was 17 tbh...all those wasted years .......
Use a bike as sole transport (but have a car licence) two main reasons I ride over driving is 1. Riding is way more fun 2.car insurance is way over priced
Started riding around 27 years ago. Took a 20 year break and got back on a bike last year. Massive regret giving it up for 20 years but nothing I can do about that now.
Have a car licence as well but don't have a car, gave it up for riding again, and in all honestly can't see me having a car again unless I win the lottery and get an Aston.
I started riding when i was like 10, pit bikes ect so i guess they dont count. Been riding on the road since i was 16, 18 now and working on my car license to.
I'm 20, been riding since I got a 125 on my 17th birthday, full licence at 18 and bought a SV650S. Got car licence in September 2011 just whilst I was working and had some spare money, thought I may aswell get it over and done with.
Started riding at 17 on a Kawasaki KE100. Passed test in 1989 and progressed through countless bikes as diverse as GSXR750's to BMW K100RS'. Currently riding an Aprilia RSV Mille.
Age 41 this August. I also drive, we own a Peugeot 4007 4x4 and a Peugeot 107 Urban. Had a BMW X5 4.8is up until September last year when it had to go - it was either it or the bike as belts required to be tightened financially. 1 year old son isn't cheap to run!!.
I also drive as part of my work, EFAD qualified fire and rescue service driver.
41 now, passed my test just after my 17th birthday, on a TS125C that is still in my dads garage. Passed my car test at 22, about 6 months after smashing my wrist up (or rather a brain dead schoolgirl smashing my wrist up).
EDIT: Started riding on a field bike (Suzuki B100P) at grandparents place in Cornwall when I was about 9 or 10.
25.
Had a TS-50X as first bike at 16, then put a 70cc bore kit on it (shhhh dont tell anyone) with 'big one' pipe and end can.
Moved up to a Kawasaki KH125 briefly when i hit 17 then in a few months got my license (restricted) and rode a CBR400RR (unrestricted but shhh don't tell anyone again ) then as i was commuting 60-70 miles a day i got a Yamaha XJ600 (diversion).
Haven't ridden in a couple of years but plan to get back on with a Triumph Street Triple R very soon
54 now, started riding at the age of 16 and passed my test at 17. Have had bikes ever since, current one being a Ducati 1098s.
Passed my car test at 17 as well, have been driving ever since as well. Current cars are a Golf 1.9 TDI and an Aston Martin Vantage.
