Social side and game inviting, for nowI figured it was coming when there were a couple of games I couldn’t access for a few moments last week due to age restrictions. I just took a photo of my face while on the can, couldn’t give a crap, literally.
Looks like this is only for the social side for now though?
I see it now, they sent it to me at 5AM so I didn't initially.I got the email as well ... not doing anything as yet here either.
Both links work for me, both from the email and from the website https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2025/07/28/xbox-age-verification-uk/Neither of the links in the email actually work for me, the first just redirects me to bing.com, the second takes me to a "Hey what happened to this page?" page.
The ones on that page work. How odd. Both links work for me, both from the email and from the website https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2025/07/28/xbox-age-verification-uk/
You'd think they'd apply some common sense and realise that if your account was created before a certain date that you're probably over 18. I have emails going back to at least 2004, so unless they're suggesting that I was using the account at least 2 years before I was born, then maybe... just maybe, I'm over 18...![]()
Yeah, everything about it looked fake to me. The domain was showing as '@e.xbox.com' so I was a little wary - especially seeing as there have been more articles recently popping up about people being scammed by fake 'age verification' pages.Lol I thought it was fake.
I dont think anyone did, did they?Never click unexpected links in emails or texts! I went to the XBOX site and checked the request was legit.
Maybe you did a gamepass trial or something?I don't even know why I have an account, don't recall making one. Email deleted and life goes on. I'll deal with it if it ever stops me doing something.
