Age Verification for Gamepass?

I figured it was coming when there were a couple of games I couldn’t access for a few moments last week due to age restrictions. I just took a photo of my face while on the can, couldn’t give a crap, literally.

Looks like this is only for the social side for now though?

Social side and game inviting, for now

Neither of the links in the email actually work for me, the first just redirects me to bing.com, the second takes me to a "Hey what happened to this page?" page.

You'd think they'd apply some common sense and realise that if your account was created before a certain date that you're probably over 18. I have emails going back to at least 2004, so unless they're suggesting that I was using the account at least 2 years before I was born, then maybe... just maybe, I'm over 18...

They have no idea if you've maybe sold the account to someone else, etc. so would still have to check to be compliant.

Raised a ticket with Microsoft (yes I'm an **** :p)

This reminds me of when my folks got asked for ID to buy alcohol in America whilst both in their 70's

Never click unexpected links in emails or texts! I went to the XBOX site and checked the request was legit.

Lol I thought it was fake.
Yeah, everything about it looked fake to me. The domain was showing as '@e.xbox.com' so I was a little wary - especially seeing as there have been more articles recently popping up about people being scammed by fake 'age verification' pages.

I so rarely load up my outlook account, I doubt I'd have even seen the email if not for this thread. Not that I care about anything it might restrict, ignore mode on.
