hello,

I have recently installed a brand new intel 510 SSD, I had installed everything when I went to bench mark it, loaded AS SSD bench and realised it was still stuck in PCIIDE mode, I restarted my PC and changed bios to AHCI, When I restarted the computer hangs at the post screen

I tried reverting back to IDE but it still does the same.

the drive is detected by IDE and AHCI in the post screen, but just does not boot

Can anyone help please?

I have the Gigabyte UD3R board, It has the Sata 6Gbps marvel chip which from what I've read is to stay clear of. instead im using the Intel ICH10R chip. is there anyway to load the intel AHCI drivers?

I was assuming that in IDE mode you could boot into Windows and thus do the registry edit, as if you're using Vista or Win 7 these drivers are already there...or simply download the latest Intel Rapid Storage drivers, install them do the registry etc...if you can't boot into Win 7, what about Safe Mode...

Or try This
