Ai Booster Overclocking ?

If you really wanted to go for it then 2.6ghz is possible, it's upto you though, after all it's your money if it goes t*ts up :D

T'was a pleasure :D.

Make sure you stability test it properly. Download Prime95 and SuperPi (if you haven't already) and get some windows of both running (e.g. a Prime95 and 1 or 2 SuperPis) leave it on overnight or for a decent time.

Be sure to watch temps while you do it. Gaming is also a good test of stability - don't know if that's your thing.

You've got to get folding now - see sig (/shameless plug)

...
WELL DONE!

EDIT: LOL like the sig  :p

Personally I would say that is a bit high - although there isn't any danger from that temp if it doesn't go any higher. What cooler and case fans do you have?

My 3800+ idles at 30Cish and is loaded at anything from 38/39 to about 45C depending on the clock. 45 is with 2500MHz.

I jusrt use the Standard X2 HSF, with no case fans because i wanted to keep the thing quiet. The PSU has a 120mm fan in it and the GC has it's fan, both spinning slowly to reduce noise. I do have a 80mm fan in the case but not connected, i use it in the summer. I think i will invest in some silent fans for the summer maybe.

Ok, i played call of duty2 for about an hour and a half.

The system didn't crash once, no problems occured and max cpu temp was 46deg C, is that temp okay for playin cod2 with ?

I think i might add an 'intake' to my case because all the cpu fan is doin is blowing hot air from the case onto the cpu, not helping a fat lot.
Hopefully the intake will get cold air into the case which can them be blown onto the cpu to cool it down :)

Also, do you think i should get another 1gb of corsair value cas2.5 RAM for Gaming ? (2gb total)

46C is absolutely fine - quite good really.

What is the cooling on the case at the moment? Is there an exhaust fan? If not then rather then getting in intake, get an exhaust, as these are more effiecient at moving air through the case (rather than just blowing it about inside). You could get two akasa ambers for intake and exhaust if you wanted and remain equally as silent.

As for the RAM... it largely depends on the RAM you have at the moment. If you have 2 x 512Mb, then I wouldn't get another lot, as the board won't be able to run the RAM at 1T. In this situation, I'd wait till you have enough money to buy 2 x 1Gb and sell the stuff you have at the moment. If you've only got one stick, then go for another single to get you to 2Gb

Your case cooling is fine. If you want you can put an intake on but it won't do much to warrent the noise boost imo.

You can check in a different post how your board reacts to RAM but basically no board do 4 slots at 1T. Mine auto disables the feature to set 2T to 1T with more than 2 slots of RAM.
