aimbotters/lamers ??

there was a cheating mother ****** in BF2142 the other day!! :mad:

it appears that it hasnt taken them long to figure out how to. there was some german Noddy (can i say that??? surely its the correct terminology...) who blatently wouldnt die, took out my ENTIRE squad, 5 of us on teamspeak, we were left absolutly gobsmacked. the guys on foot and hes got 28 kills and no deaths and we pounded the crap out of him continuously.

in the end we all just stood around calling him obscenity's and screaming for the admins to boot him. this was a punk buster enabled server, fat lot of good it does.

tbh i'm an avid 1.6 player, and there is far too much cries of "HACKER" / "OMFG YOU CHEAT" etc etc i too have been called a hacker many a time and asked to demo whilst playing many online gathers for #cs.gather.uk! the best thing to do is play in leagues with set admins and anti-cheat utilities i.e. csgn,sgl,gbgl,esl! although there i realise there is a possibility to get around the anti-cheats with the sglac being the easiest as it's a simple screenshot client!

its a new game so it will take a while for the cheats to be found and detected along with the fact like the private hacks may never be found.... etbot anyone?

im sure it easier to code client side to code to aimbot / wallhack etc as the client has all the information as to where all player models are on the map.
infinate ammo would more than likely require a method to exploit code on the actual server which would be a lot harder

Must admit I can see why people see coding cheats as a challange but still havent got my head round the using them mentality.

What do you actually gain other than abuse?

Unless your under 12 and its an ego thing?

I've come across about two people in CSS who have cheated (one aimbot, one speed), one guy just sped around killing everyone and the other guy got nothing but headshots.

yes but if you are under 12 and you get caught your ego dissapears fairly quickly! i think the reason people do it is if they get caught then all the need to do is get a new game id, create a new alias and hey presto they are completely new person. it's the safety of being behind computer screens this really annoys me, i have had so many cocky little 15/16 and under year olds that abuse me over mic and in game, then i go to lan and they see that i'm a 20 year old personal trainer who's 12stone and 6ft 2! they run and hide with their dad's who have had to bring them to lan! i've known a guy named oCelot on the cs 1.6 scene who's been smacked many a time at lan for being abusive online! good to see

How hard is to cheat in ET? I was playing 1v1 on a server while waiting for it fill up and it was the stonehenge map, I was engineer with the rifle and grenade launcher and he had a Thompson and was managing to kill me from the other side of the map in a couple of shots no matter what I did

I don't normally cry cheat but after getting killed everytime he fired at me, without blowing my own trumpet I'm quite a good player and normally understand getting killed very so often, but something struck me as dodgy even though the server has punkbuster enabled.

id say quite easy not having to pay for the game means an unlimited amount of cdkeys get caught simply nuke your etkey etpro key etc

there are tools that mask or randomise your keys as well, fake pbscreenshots etc. have read the features of etbot and its shocking what it can do and the fact its still undetected after 2 years!

there are also tools that mask harware info to getaround harware bans etc. remember playing with a guy that was on my xfire freinds list, he got very good all of a sudden, hardware banned a week later

but was back playing shortly after that :mad:

gotta accept that there are some great players out there if im in doubt i will take a look at stats etc and spectate them.
