aimbotters/lamers ??

That happens ALL the time, iv been kicked about 40/50 times in bf2, EVERY single kick was because im owning the admin and he prolly THINKS (not knows) that im cheating. Stupid little kid admins, I wish i could see there faces after they check the battle recorder and see that they were getting owned by pure skill..
 
Never really played CS:S, though loved multiplayer half life.

Was just thinking though, imagine 100 years into the future where robotic police "botted" around in areas and killed instantly... scary accurate stuff.
 
I get disapointed on the rare occasions I play cs:s or the older versions if I don't get accused of hacks. Must be losing my touch.
 
Havent seen 1 "real" cheater in DOD:S

had a few that were so good it was suspect. But i sometimes get accused of it so its all swings and round abouts.

Seen the MygGot(sp) speed hack autoheadshot thingy in CS:S, quite amusing, but quite sad as it clears out the server fast Its a little bit blatent warping at mach 10 insta gibbing the entire team
 
Its a hard life being an admim, ive found quite a few cheaters playing ET, theres always the thought in the back or your mind when you get killed maybe that guy is cheating, espically when your killed from range by a mp40 in only 2 shots, the newer cheats are getting harder to find, ive proberly kicked or banned ppl who may have been innocent, but thats thier tough luck for being ethier too good or acting suspicious ;)
 
i havnt noticed a lot of cheaters btu what i have notived is more and more people accusing people of cheating. it REALLY does my head in.
sometimes i can go on a little rampage with the scout ( in counterstrike source) and get accused of cheating because odf the way i use it. and ive seen it happen to other people aswell. gettign accused of cheating non stop.

what does annoy me is the abuse of scripts.
i use scripts in the form of binds for binding my keypad and mouse to do actions like buy grenades and select weapons. but scripts that annoy me are sniper scripts ( shoot, switch, switch, zoom ) - which i think is cheating tbh. but there is thin line between it !

ive only ever seen 2 cheaters in CSS
1. when i first started, a guy using aim hack and it really was blatent. ive seen people with the same looking skillw ith the scout but this guy was makighn it a lil too obvious

secondly was my so called mate from school. i suspected him so followed him into a derathmatch, recorded a demo, applied sv_cheats 1 and mat_wireframes 4 and watched him follow people through walls and shoot people through doors etc. it didnt look very suspect unless you watched it with the wireframe filter :)

They are plenty in DoD:S do a search on youtube for some "interesting" vids. The trick is, as with all games, to find decent well administrated servers and stick to those.
 
seen various cheats in cs in my time, but the majority werent actually that good at it (yes they were cheating, without doubt) so i'd end up killing them instead. Nothing annoys them more than dying WHILST cheating, the language is usually quite colourful.
 
In MMORPGs like WoW you get botters who use a program to auto kill mobs in the game, and leave their PC on 24/7, making themselves a lot of in-game money and making the game harder for others. So it's not just FPS where lamers are frequent.
 
As others say you need a well modded server. I play a lot of ET still Jolt servers and generally theres a mod about or spmeone nows how to contact Admins. We occasional get an obvious cheat i.e 75 headhots in 80 attempts lmao. But they are often Punkbuster picked up or banned by Admins very rapidly.

Best response to a hacker ive seen was all 9 other players on server going to Limbo leaving him with no one to shoot until Admin arrived.

indeed.....many times.

in the beginning you think its skill....then you learn its a different kind of skill :mad: . Its an epidemic throughout PC online gaming imo. Not sure if console online gaming is any better.


I dont have a problem with people aimboting in bf2 because it doesnt matter too much with me, if i can aim at there head aswell and kill them faster it dont matter if he has a prog thats aimed at my head, my hand is almost as fast..

Yeah..a lot of people do hack but it does infuriate me when you simply play well and then have to spend god knows how long defending yourself.

I used to play Q3 a lot and for a while hung around with a clan of pretty decent guys/gals...aside from one of them who would always get ****** when I beat him and resort to accusing me of hacking. They then brought punkbuster on to the server (which knackered a few of them due to pbs problems but obviously didn't effect me with my "hacks"). Eventually, the guy was thrown out of the clan. In part, I hope, due to the fact that he spent more time accusing people of hacking then he did actually playing the game.

On the servers I admin, I have a very low tolerance of hacking (of course, I actually make sure the person is hacking and not simply 'good' first) but people are far more likely to be kicked/banned for being rude. The amount of idiots that love to hurl abuse always astounds me (for a few seconds, then I hurl kicks and feel much better).

we request out members to join our irc channel - there we have a scanner setup so we search the hard drives for any know cheats..

not great but we still find players with hack on there pc plus were linked with steambans

that always help's
 
One community that seems to suffer loads atm is Soldat. Playing online has become a joke with literally 25% of the people you see using speed hacks/etc.

Kind of funny to watch my housemate try to have a proper game of it...I gave up on that idea long ago :)
 
I remember shortly before Black Hawk Down was due to be released, there were loads of people playing on the multiplayer demo, it was great fun running around the city coming across a conflict area and sneaking about taking out people who were busy looking in a different direction etc also trying to pick off people who were unaware.

However it wasn't long before I logged into one server and there were several people who were running around with the minigun inplacements on their heads, meaning they had full use of the unlimited ammo miniguns and hence could run around and kill pretty much everyone.

It completely took the fun out of the game!!!

I had someone using an Aim bot Against me in day of defeat :rolleyes:

It was a level where there is a huge corn field and if you are in the corn field people can hardly see you if you are standing up.

I was on my stomache crawling through the centre of it and then got hit by a 2 bullets and killed :rolleyes:

There is no way that ****er could have seen me, The corn is so thick you can see 2 feet in front of yourself let alone using a rifle with an iron site from the side road a corn field or 2 over :rolleyes:


It happned so many bloody times in that battle and it was always the same guy :(
 
one of my proudest css moments was knifing a 100% blatant cheater in a 40 man server :D

he had an aimbot that made him constantly rotate 360degrees and automatically shoot anyone in his view

got him while he was reloading :D :D
