aimbotters/lamers ??

odd, I find it VERY rare to see aimbotters anymore but thats got more to do with me not playing CS:S anymore.

I saw a video of some guy using hacks on bf2.

The one where he had the l96 which fired really fast. The knife hack where you could knife them from anywhere etc.

I wish I could use them as I need all the help I can get and even then I still get owned by the noobs :)

Seriously though I love bf2 even tho I suck at it.

I thought punkbuster would catch it or they are constantly upgraded to get round it. Also a friend told me you have to pay stupid amounts of money to use it something like 30 squids per month.

Punkbuster finding hackers? lol

Yeah there was some aimbot that was $100 lol, these people are so dumb if they pay that and still get owned! lol silly kids Huh

Played SOF2 ever since the demo release allllllllll those years ago, in my time i've seen tons of hacks/cheats/exploits, etc you name it.

The game is kinda dying now with the lack of PB updates and hacks just staying undetected, sad but it is very old :(

I'll still play it though!

They cheat because it makes it more fun for them, because without cheats they are rubbish and lose all the time = no fun. When they are cheating they are winning so they dont care that they are annoying people or being lame, they just want to win. (by any means)

i get more annoyed at noobs than cheaters..

I think it's more a case of - I'm so pathetic in RL that I turn to games to make myself feel respected and powerful. And I can't even manage that, so I cheat.

the one thing i hate more than cheaters are the people who constantly accuse people of hacking. This happens all the time on CSS servers.
l

There were a LOT of cheaters on CS 1.6, I got accused many many times like so

haxxoorrup0.jpg

 Obviously never seen a real hacker in their lives.

It's more fun to trick the hackers into getting them banned.
In America's Army, most hackers do it on official servers, where there are less checks. So me and the other admins on our clan server changed our server name to mimic the official servers, and lo and behold we caught many a casual cheat.

There are really 2 types of hacker:
1) Aimbot and wallhack, who are doing it to prove to themselves that they are better than everyone.
2) Speedhack, who are doing it to laugh at the reactions of everyone else.

In my experience, 9/10 accusations of cheating are completely wrong, yet 10/10 of the accusers believe they're completely right ;)

Speedhacks are funny :D

It can actually be pretty fun being chased down by a speedhacker only to see him run headfirst into the box you're standing on and have a bullet placed in his head. Gotta be in the right mood though.

I've come across a few classic examples in CS:S of wall hacks, but only a few. When you hide in the most pointless place well out of sight and with only one entrance and someone still manages to walk in shooting at your head height you do get a tad suspicious. Watching him on spectate you'd watch him blatantly lining up shots before walking around corners and all sorts of stuff.

Saw it a few times in ET too for that matter, which got annoying too. A fair few important European clans lost members when evidence was presented of their hacks, even though ET had integrated PB.

Certainly from my experience in CS 1.6 and some CS:S, is that a lot of the time cheating acusations are usually false, and that said player has either had lucky shots, been using teamspeak/ventrilo with mates, or is just an amazingly good player. So many times have I been accused of cheating I've had to prove to people on LAN that I can actually do some things that look rather dodgy :p

Those that do blatantly cheat will generally be the kind of public cheater that'll go onto a random server, not giving a crap about people in the server, and could have a load of mates round, saying "watch this, these people cry their eyes out when i cheat them to death", then it happens, people moan, person gets banned for blatant cheat, then goes to next server.

The more subtle cheater will be the clan match cheater that'll hide it very well, and probably just have wallhacks on or similar and let the team know the best places to go in match. Having anything else on would risk them being easily caught when watching their demos.

A friend of mine did this for years (Probably still does) and it seems every clan I talk to does it too :p

I know a few people who use high-visibility/high-contrast mods in RA3, but there are mixed attitudes as to whether those things should be considered hacks at all. IMHO, if you can replicate the effect just by fiddling about in the in-game options (as many people do, dropping the graphics detail to improve visibility), then it's ok, but when you start using things that let you see through walls you've crossed the line. Of course, with a lot of these old games people know the maps so well they don't NEED to see through walls - I've often caught people with a lucky rocket shot because I guessed at which door they'd come out of etc. and I'm crap, so I can only imagine how good the real hardcore people have gotten at predicting their enemies' movements!:D

The solution of course is to always play the latest games that come out, before they've had time to get seriously hacked, and for people to get annoyed enough with hackers that they start using hacks themselves to compete, but I kinda like my oldies. The BETTER solution is to not be competitive and not to mind when you get killed... :p

My fav trick to use with cs hackers was to unbindall their keys and either bind mouse1 to say bang or quit depending on my mood. Then ban them :D

In Red Faction I saw someone with a no-grav/all ammo/god mode cheat just floating in space riddling everyone.
Queh?
Enjoyment factor?

Really don't see the point, but one can imagine most of them are 13 years old.

tbh i often call people hackers in my mind, but save it for the blatent ones before i start saying anything. we get some very skilled players on our server so its best to keep shtum (if thats a word)
One of our clan has been barred from 3 CSS servers so far.
They accused him of cheating as he was beating the server owners.

He wouldn't even know HOW to cheat! :p
One actually checked his system and let him back on.

Some people do spend most of their time playing every evening.
(He uses a ball mouse too. 0_o )

LOL, for some people (like me) thats impossible.. Even when im playing on a public server im still taking it quite seriously and quite often get annoyed and start shouting (not to my next room neighbours liking tho)!

I still dont understand how i can have a ping of 9 in bf2 and it still feels laggy tho.. Its just never smooth enough for my liking, maybe its just a badly designed game but when i make sudden movements it doesnt like it (gets coppy) Iv tried putting low settings and putting it to 1024x768 but it still doesnt fell smooth enough..

I know what your all saying about 9/10 ppl are wrong about cheaters but for the person acussing it makes them feel better about being owned, so they feel like there still better but only lost because of an unfair advantage, i say just get as good as the cheaters and you will never know you play againest any..

FPS games are all about observation, aiming and awareness of whats going on around you aswell as what your team are doing.
