AIO cooler for phanteks p600s

exactly barely any diff at 198watts, under gaming conditions you know what happens and you don't need to worry about the pump dying

Must admit, I’ve watched a million (slight exaggeration) video reviews of AIO units this week and although some are better than Others, I do have a fear of a mass disaster with them. I’ve been looking at the black version of the noctua which looks loads nicer than brown/beige.

£110 for an air cooler is a hurt, but the deepcool assassin seems to be pretty good.

im still considering options…. I like the aesthetics of the AIO but air is safer in my mind.

I see too many people on here saying their AIO pump died etc so I like the peace of mind and I got all my case fans etc set too off unless my cpu hits 50c so uber quiet and no fishtank pump noise

You can get covers for the noctua btw if you want it to look better

I went for the case in the graphite grey. It’s going in the garage with a sim racing rig so didn’t want white and black would have been a chunk of black.

Not used to machines with such customisation with regards to thermal control.

I just bought a P600S and am looking at an AIO, likely the Artic Freezer II 420mm mounted at the front with the coolest air coming through it vs a 360mm at the top with the warm air from the GPU.

I currently have a Noctua D15 but the fan noise is an issue when my 5800x ramps up and there is no doubt it does not cool as well as an AIO especially over time as dust builds. I can't use a dual-fan setup either as my RAM is too high for the second fan.

Wow, you must have massive ram. Just put mine together yesterday and there appears to be plenty of room for my ram. The second fan is mounted a little higher up the heatsink but will still work.

i went away from an AIO. Not just cost, but I didn’t want to worry about something failing. I’ll see how it goes. I like the case tho

I have standard height RAM but to dual fan a D15 you need to buy low-profile RAM and sadly I bought my RAM before I knew I would be buying a D15.

EDIT - It appears they have had some reliability issues, however at least they are correcting it asap https://www.club386.com/arctic-identifies-faulty-batch-of-liquid-freezer-ii-aio-coolers/

no you just move the fan higher up, there's also a different version of the d15 with even more clearance

I have the AF2 420 in my P600s at the front. The standard Arctic fans weren't very good and started to give up after a year or so. Ive changed them to Noctua P14s fans in all positions and its virtually silent apart from the RX6900 ramping up when gaming.

Nice and how is cooling performance on whichever CPU you have?

Also did you check to see if you are affected by the issue? You can use Google translate on the page https://www.arctic.de/lf-service-kit

Just checked and mine was delivered on the 17May21 so is unaffected, I didn't know there was a recall though.
Temp wise it's cooling a stock 5900x and it's hit 70degrees a couple of times during reboots but normally it runs at about 62-65 degrees playing warzone. I had Alphacool Hurricane 360 kit before before and it's far better than that.
