Aion Online?

That's exactly what I'm hoping too. I'm hoping it goes back to everyone on the server knowing the names of the top 5 pvpers, having to work really long and hard to get a gear reward from pvp, and just good old fashioned, 4+ hour running battles between masses of players.

If we can start getting that once a lot of people are actually at the level cap, then it's going to be a great game.

you dont need to be at the level cap to enjoy PvP in Aion, you gain entry to the Abyss at 25 and your first instance (open 25-28). I've been exploring, questing and PvP'ing since level 25 (now 30) and although at times i've been steamrolled by higher level Eylos ive had some cracking mass battles.

one thing i will mention is i havent played WoW and that some players who joined our Legion from that game have already gone back to it. It seems a lot of players from that game were expecting WoW II or something and find the game not to their liking.. i dont know why.

I'm still debating whether to play Aion again, I played on the chinese servers with a few characters I think to about level 26 or so, I enjoyed it quite a bit but there didn't seem to be much endgame, or even much to do at 26. Not to mention that £35 is a steep price to pay compared to paying nothing for it in China.

its not free, they have a pay per hour scheme unlike here where you pay a subscription each month with unlimited game-time. I bought Aion for £29 from d2d with an extra 7 days on the standard free mth. I also can't remember any MMo being launched free or a lot cheaper on release than roughly this price.

Tried to buy it from D2D last night, but it wouldn't accept my payment. Weird, because I'd bought something else from them only the other week. And their 'contact support' is a nightmare

Will just have to wait a few days for a physical copy.

He is on about the actualy game not the sub.

Also, the pay per hour deal in Asia works out FAR better value than the deal we get.

Remember it is a game that requires grinding far more than say WoW. The asian market don't mind this as much as the variety in the rest of the world and on top of that you have to pay for the game and pay for a higher sub each month.

I can see where Skyfall is coming from.

I'm not saying Aion is a bad game, it isn't. I'm just giving my opinion on the cost vs the Asian prices (which may or may not be the point - I'm defending Skyfalls opinion as I see what he is saying).

Generally speaking, it often seems that a lot of WoW player expect each new MMO to be WoW II. It also often seems that if its not, they do everything they can on various forums to try and make the game into WoW II. Beats me why too, if they want WoW, play WoW. Simples. :)

So you think grinding (not using quests) is quicker than questing? did you grind pretty much most of the way to level 41?

50 hours damn thats a lot of grinding!

Yes mate, I have grinded from 18-42 quicker than the people questing/grinding by finishing of the levels in my guild. I have done the odd quest here and there (camp ones etc) but I would say its faster. Also more rewarding cash wise imo.

Well as a lot of quests make you run around a lot, Or dont give that much xp i can see how just grinding is better in this game.. I still dont understand how people are still saying there 30+ and havent done a single bit of grinding, Enlighten me on how this is possible!!
