Yeah really enjoying Aion,played for 4hrs without a break last night, not much more i can say, resub!
The very worst that can happen is you have wasted £8.99 but ill be definitely giving it a few more months at the very least

There are very few true PvP MMORPG's left, and Aion is sure as hell not one of them.
Yeah, I'd be interested to know what this game is like now. I also played at launch for a couple of months, got to around lvl 26 but just got bored. I found the XP rate a bit too slow and it turned into a grind. have there been any improvements to make the leveling more fun and a bit faster?
It has apparently after the patch.
About more quests and more xp from them as well as kinah.
well this new eylos I've rolled on Perento is great fun, levelling is pretty fast and I havent had to grind any mobs. Seems with 2.0 (and 1.9) there has defo been a substanial increase in xp and quests. The major gripe everyone had was grinding mobs to level up and running out of activities/quests in most zones, this I can assure you as changed.
I'm just about to hit 32 and thats only from playing casually so i've no idea if the trend will continue into the late 30s and 40s...

Came back after a year (has it been a year since release?) and all I can say that has changed is the XP and Money rewards have been increased a lot! Haven't had to grind once and I'm level 26.
That's it really, still not getting the pvp side of it, went afk and came back to some level "??" guy, I assume you can't see other peoples levels so it could be a death trap or a face roll but;
1: He couldn't hurt me, so I assume he must have been a really low level, I had time to chat to friends.
2: But I rarely was able to hit him, when I did it didn't hit him for much but I eventually took him to 50% hp then he ran off faster than I could catch up with him, far longer than any run buff or temp speed boost (he was an assasin). So was he a low level that had insane evades or a high level that sucked.. :|
For giving me experience in PvP by pvping I can sure say I learnt nothing other than it wasn't fun at all, well okay I laughed that he kept going at me for so long whilst I shrugged off his attacks but it was confusing to what actually was going on D:

Yeah, I liked all the other changes, but gave up on the PvP too. Any game that doesn't segregate levels in PvP is just a massive race to the top, and then a massive race for gear.
Getting beaten down by someone you have no chance against just isn't fun, and neither is beating the crap out of someone who's much lower than you (unless you're really sad).

I found this game fun to start off with, Didnt really mind the 'grind' untill i got to about 44, The biggest problem with this game is the PVP sucks, The abyss sucks, The only thing that was fun was the rifts.. And that was mainly down to people not flying around all over the place. They needed to make it so you could fly for much longer than you could.
So just out of interest how is the performance of this game name? Mass PVP was soo laggy, Had to do Shift+F12 in keeps which was total fail tbh.

right theres been massive nerf to how PvP works in rifts, basically its an 80% reduction in early zones and 40% reduction in later . This has been met with open arms by half the players and condemned by the others, but it's stopped all the 'twinks' from purely running around the map being invincible and facerolling whoever they meet (forced them to go the the PvP zones like Abyss)
personally I loved the rifting element but I can understand how those levelling in peace had no chance to combat an enemy player who had +10 enhanced every piece of Mercy armour and weapon.
overall the game seems more group friendly and relaxed, I don't feel the need to rush levelling and I always have tons of things to do. One thing I'd like to see added is a scaled level dredgion type instance for say lvl 20-25, 25-30,30-35 etc

Can anyone playing this comment on server population? My old character was on Spatalos but I've heard rumours this server is becoming less populated and may merge again(could be wrong). The other two are Perento and Telemachus which seem slightly better. If I go back i'll probably start a new character as a fresh start, but which server is best do you think?
Spatalos is totally Eylos dominated hence I've decided to roll a new alt on Perento where they need more Eylos atm. No server atm has a perfect balance but I'm told Telemachus (+Asmo) and Perento (+Asmo) are the better of the current servers out there.
My original characters got moved from the late great Gorgos server to Spataloser and I just don't seem to have fun on there...
Ah, nice. Thanks for the info. Think i'll start a new toon on Telemachus then. Downloading the client atm. 10gb... this is gonna take a while

i remember playing the korean beta and it was awesome until 20 (were you get wings? if i remember correctly) then it quickly became a bit empty.....
its a nice game and a lush engine , just needs to be a bit more westernised.
despite all that i do think its better then most other mmo's out there and has a lot of polish in the areas that are populated.
