AIO's Why they should only be considered a short term product.

He literally says that in the first post.

I was saying initial outlay is cheaper which is what most see not long term value. Like I've just spent £500 on a custom MATX case and Custom Res Built into the case. could have obviously brought several cases and res for that price if I had gone for stock options but it offers more functionallty same goes for custom loop versus AIO.

H100i is around £100 think that's fair and take a L240 kit from EK around £200 one will give more functionality and expansion. Take it how you want to.

If you really believe that, go drink some and let us know how it goes.

It's all tapwater with a few chemicals flung in then sold at silly prices.

Unless of course your source is from an underground spring filtered through millions of years old rock formation then filtering out into a fairy dell where it is sprinkled with blue fairy dust :)

Watercooling is more hype and bluff, it's certainly nice to have a custom system
but it's more a hobby, dual loops triple loops more rads than a FI car, and case you can hardly lift.

Actually being a IT Technician (grass routes), Chemical engineer and some one who has a very keen interest in thermodynamics and dealing with normal customers as well we have seen an awful lot of failed SAIO's come though the door and every single one failed for the reason above. This weekend i saw two with in hours hence the post above.

You may also consider the fact we sell fluids (oem) to some AIO manufacturers. You are not reading an uninformed or ill informed post, your reading factual information.

P.s Im no rep i own Mayhems.

Why does it say Mayhems rep under your forum name if you aren't? If you aren't a rep you should remove it or you could get into trouble for misrepresenting the company.

Apologies, i misread.

It does offer more functionality and expansion, at double the cost, multiple times the complexity and risk, as mentioned above. It also has 3 times the length of warranty ( 6 years H100i vs 2 Years for EKWB )

I dunno, i guess it was the "Uneducated Consumers" comment thats annoyed me. I'm plenty educated about the options i had, i just chose the simplest, cheapers and more reliable option.

I think he means he owns Mayhems the company, rather than a Mayhems Product.

I don't think anyone listed as a 'rep' should be posting things that may bias people's choices.
Regardless, lots of people can't afford long term purchases so there is nothing wrong with short term investment.
This thread should not have been started.
Andi.

I agree with the op a custom loop is far better than a aio however I bought two of the refurbed h100s from overclockers very first batch I think I paid £35 each they are both still going strong with good temps just a little noisy

Totally agreed.

I think you're getting confused with coca cola, dom perignon, the entire beauty cream industry or maybe something else?

Even hardware comapnies do it! GPUs are just a bunch of sand and copper smushed together then sold at silly prices.

I know, who though selling sand could be so profitable, even if it is refined a little.

You can use what ever ya want in your loop, it just depends on how long you want it to last.

Air for life! Such cheap, last long time!

Everytime i see you post on the forums i wanna find a copy of monkey island and play through it again, the last time i played it was probably 18 years ago, i would like to see if its just as fun now.

Sorry but you have a vested interest so therefore cannot take your post seriously.

Besides, at least I won't have to flush the bugger every now and again :D

PS. Friend has had a Corsair AiO in his system for over 3 years, still going strong with good temps :)

Makes me laugh some people really are not too bright, no its not just tap water lol you trying running tap water in your rig see what happens to your gear over time. As for the foul play are you insane he supplies them with the coolant so he knows whats in it and hes not doing himself any favours by telling us.
