Airsoft Battery Question

Thanks Aod for the info. I have a couple of airsoft pistols and a couple of air rifles but would like to get a smallish airsoft rifle (where the mp5 comes in) althought the one you picked up looks good to (had a look at a couple of sigs before). I only use them to fire at targets etc. Whats skirmish, bit like paintball?

I'll grab photos of how I do it if you still need help later, let me know in the thread of smack me on MSN or something!

pictures would be very useful

afaik, on the back of the stock, there should be a small door, with a little catch?

is your battery a Mini battery or a Large battery? (mini ones are small enough to fit in the front handguard, large ones fit in the stock)

if its a mini, you'll need an adapter before it will plug in correctly.
if its a large i think your supposed to take the internal wire, bring it out, then slide the battery in, connect it up and if should fit.

i assume this is a 8.4v battery? if not, the stock might need some modification to accept (even) larger batteries.

Its the stock which can slide smaller, does this matter? On the website it was described as "mini", however it doesn't fit in the frount handguard.

I will have a fiddle with it when I get back home.

Start by opening the stock with a flathead screwdriver, the top screw is long and goes all the way into the main body of the gun, the lower screw holds the sling clip in place, so this may fall out when you remove the screw (just slide the sling loop back in)

As you can see the butt plate will come off and you can remove it if you like or do the work as I have left it in the picture (depends how awkward it is!)

Here is a picture of how I have used the battery, I had to slide it in, putting the fuse underneath the battery, in the little gap on the underside of the stock. (The bit that is diagnal, not the horizontal one)

This is just to show that the connector will come out fine, just push it down flat ontop of the battery and put the cable around the connectors as in the previous picture.

Push the butt plate back towards the stock and do the top screw up first, this will be a tight fit, but don't worry about it as it fits fine. There is no need to open the door, leave it shut!

Now do the same with the small screw, making sure the sling loop is in too, the small screw will go into the sling loop and keep it in place.

Then it should look like that! Perfectly flush and secure, ready to kill some n00bs.

Uh, I thought you said it was the second style, with the solid stock!

The sliding stock ones, the battery goes in the foregrip not the stock.

Aye, I was trying it in the foregrip, but the foregrip is too small for the battery to fit in.

Can you get a picture of the battery?

Edit : I took so long taking those pictures!

:D

Aye, will do that when I get home. Cheers for the photo's skully, mine looks like that, but it has the collapseable stock.

Actually, found the picture on the airsoft site,

according to the site its a, GP 8.4v Mini Type NiMH with 1100mAh Capacity

I think I'll need photos of it next to the stock for size comparison.

Also some batteries are simply in the wrong shape to fit in!
