Recently purchased a ssd to convert from my old hdd. I purchased the above mentioned cable to clone the drive. The cable being recommended by a friend of mine and said he had no issue when doing so.

With the e-sata and usb connected there is no recognition of the ssd when connected. Is there anything I am missing or is trying a new cable necessary?

Is there anyway to do process with no leads? or a lot easier with transfer cables? I do not have an windows installation disk either so unable to re-install from there.

Thank you for any comments.

Pop into Computer Management in Control panel then choose storage - This should show the SSD and allow you to format the drive and assign a drive letter.

If you want the operating system on SSD then you need to use the cable to image the old drive to the SSD.

Its a case of popping into the Storage management and format the SSD to use.
