Alan Rickman RIP

"Sadly Alan Rickman won't be joining us, for the rest of his life."

RIP my good man! Think i'll be having a Rickman day today watching his films!

Bowie, as much as I knew of him my whole life, I never really sat down and listened to his music specifically. Rickman though, I love films and have watched just about everything from when I was very young to today. Rickman was around in films from really when I can remember my childhood till a couple of years ago and I loved him in just about everything.

I almost can't believe Die Hard was 1988 release, I was 6, I didn't watch it then but probably not too much later. Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Rickman, Gibson, Willis, they are the guys in the biggest films of the era and the earliest films I can remember

Testament to Rickmam that while Gibson disgraced himself on top of making worse and worse films, Willis sold out and made lots of trash, Rickman has been making great films throughout his career. He played good and bad guys, serious or comedic roles equally well. Say day.

RIP Alan

This is rather worrying - all my hero's and peers are falling over all round me - I am right in the middle of them at 71.

They must have had a much better time than I have had.:rolleyes:

Oh man this one is sad. For some reason Bowie didn't really sadden me though I guess that's because I never listen to him much. Big fan of Rickman though, ******* cancer

Same here, Bowie was a bit of a shock but not on a personal level at all.

I watched Prince of Thieves growing up countless times, sometimes every week. I grew up hating Rickman's character until I was old enough to understand and appreciate that I was supposed to..., that it was his acting which made him brilliant.

bloody hell, such sad news, what a week this is turning out to be. First a musical genius, and now a genius behind the camera has passed. One of my favourite actors, so charismatic in his roles, and the best villain of the 80's in Die Hard which is my favourite movie ever. So Sad, RIP.
