Alcohol and bodybuilding?

Fat under their shirt and/ or on gear mate if they out on the regular. You just can't keep lean and big if you are binging hard every week, its not possible :p

Tbh it is mate.
My pal was banging a ton of tri test for 15 weeks! and he was literally HUGE, crappy diet of just chinese/chippys, banging more t5's then you could even think of. He was ripped the bone, yet he went out 3 nights a week or more getting absolutely hammered plus taking tons of coke. Yet his size was unbeliveable, was only like 5ft 3 but was massive and ripped to shreds, that was early this year, and now he doesn't take any gear now, but is still in that condition all be it smaller and still has same life style. Got another pal who is exactly the same, massive and ripped but same life style. Crazy though! and not healthy. But it's possible.

With 'supplements' as you point out.

If you find you have to get wasted to have a good time, I would actually take a long, hard look at your relationship with alcohol.

(Either that, or your mates really aren't that funny. ;) )

It's not me, just stating a point that thats why the guy a few posts above probs sees quite a lot of heavily muscled guys in clubs. A lot of their lifestyles are horrendus on their health.

I personally don't drink often at all.

you do know that steriods, take a huge amount of toll on the liver and kidneys? you need to drink at least 3 litres of water a day in order for them to flush out the toxins created. on top of that alcohol also puts more pressure on the liver and so will coke. the guy has probably shortened his lifespan by about 20 years minimum. his liver and kidneys will have already be doing overtime, then add in all the nights out, junk food and drugs, im surprised he is still fine, even though he is living the same lifestyle off them.

Haha, don't start all this random steroid bull please. Yes it is bad, but random figures aren't going to educate anyone. Wheres FF? he's normally straight in to shutdown any of this misinfo.

lay off the lager, beer & cider they are rammed with useless calories - drink shorts with diet mixers or soda

orange juice/fruit juices in general are packed with sugar

Hmm, wondering whether to not drink for this year (I dont drink much anyway so it's no biggie) and then go out when im 19 and hopefully have more mass and less of the skinny-fat look.. Unless, I become obsessed with the gym :p seems sensible no?

Just want to socialise but my diet and bodybuilding gets in the way! I can't go out because I have to eat some random food every 3 hours.. and it's not the kind of food you can take with you either.

You dont need to eat every three hours and don't need to not enjoy a few nights out.
You are young, take advantage of that and enjoy yourself a bit.

Agree with this. If you want to look better, but the only people who get to see you are the gym staff whats the point? Go out and have some fun. Yes you wont get the same amount gains as someone who eats 6 great meals a day and never cheats, but you've got to accept you're not making the same sacrifices as them.
