Alder Lake-S leaks

When it's consistently in favour of Windows 10, then it's not the statistical error..

The author's conclusion doesn't match your Dunning-Kruger interpretation of his data.

As evidenced by you using a boot up time graph to prove your point on minimum frame rates and microstutter.

What is your problem with that?

Microsoft said they fixed it, i tested it for my self and although i don't have the game library available to me that reviewers have so far as i can tell they have fixed it.

The Toms Hardware slide i pulled out of the link SeeNoWeevil posted i can confirm is not replicated at my end, its wrong, but looking at Steve's tweet there could be a reason for it.

Edited to correct who posted the link.

To Round this out......

Windows 11 Before patch. L3 Read: 100718MB/s, Mem Latency: 72.8Ns, L3: Latency 34.1Ns
Windows 11 After patch. L3 Read: 599GB/s, Mem Latency: 67.9Ns, L3: Latency 11.1Ns

Ryzen 5800X

After Windows 11 patch the L3 speed is 5X higher with the latency 3X lower, the results are consistent with Windows 10. (also note dual CPU Chiplet Zen 3 CPU's like the 5900X and 5950X have a higher L3 speed vs the 5800X)

Take note the L3 read is in MB/s before patch vs GB/s after.

I forgot to run it before i upgraded and i don't have one to hand in my image host but i remember it being around <600GB/s for the L3 read.

Yours is 10% higher but you're running a dual CCD 5950X, it should be higher, you have 64MB to my 32MB of L3.

Yes I gave up replying to people that reply rubbish to my posts, I don't have time to explain to some that they are wrong and have no idea what they are talking about and just spamming every post with some rubbish reply they think they know better about. It's either rubbish or mining chat all the time on here. As said above I think the ignore feature is going to end up heavly used by me and others.

Only reason I don't stick anyone on ignore is one day as always they turn up needing help even when they are know it alls, then I try to help them and educate them of how to fix their issue that in most cases was a simple thing to fix because some of us on this forum are very knowledgeable about hardware and software issues that may crop up, but we have to deal with rubbish most of the time going threw threads full of made up facts and fanboy facts or worse guessing to find threads that somone is asking for help or advice.

Worth a read :- https://twitter.com/HardwareUnboxed/status/1454778534929461249

Seems he may have found a bug when you swap ryzen cpus, the issue comes back.. I just saw his post on twitter so not too sure what is going on for sure.

Going through the last few pages of this thread, it appears to need moderator attention. Half the post are from @humbug discussing Ryzen.

Oh well. Exciting times ahead, looking forward to new Alder Lake news/leaks this coming week :)
