Still waiting on the Maximus Z690 hero here too! Any update you can share @Gibbo ?
Happy to wait for the board though - the USB DAC/Amp solution is fantastic and drives my Sennheiser 660S exceptionally well, coupled with best BIOS, overclocking/RAM support and fantastic aesthetics (to my taste anyway!).
Has anyone received the Maximus hero board yet?
@ScottiB may be able to help too. Am sure if he has any news he'll post
I wonder how many pre orders there for this board ?
Probably quite a few as you can get up to £100 cashback from Asus.
Only if you receive the motherboard by 30th November
As long as you buy both the CPU/Motherboard from the same retailer (one that's on Asus' list, which includes OCUK), you'll be fine.Asus Support said:
- Buy an eligible ASUS Z690 Mainboard and Intel core CPU between October 27th and November 30th 2021 at a participating dealer
Confirmed with Asus that the requirement is to buy, not to receive
The mobo and CPU does not have to be from the same retailer.
