Alice In Chains - Album & UK Tour

I've still got tickets for the Brixton date, the new album is actually very good.....the more i listen the more hooked i get get.

The best songs are where Jerry is singing though.....the new guys voice doesn't sit well with me but i'm an anal for authenticity :)

Lets face it, still better than 99% of the **** released these days .

I can't believe that one of my favourite albums (Dirt) is so many years old!

The new album on the first few listens didn't blow me away like the others, however, I think "Check my Brain", "A looking in view" and "Black gives way to blue" are all excellent, notably the emotion held in the final track.

Any variation of the band without Lane was bound to bring controversy; I for one think it's great to hear more music out of the remaining band members who have a lot of talent between them - no point getting annoyed/switching off some music because one disagrees with their title.

If we get another Jerry Cantrell solo effort album, the world won't be any worse off either! :D

:)

Just a Quick heads up for those interested,Alice In Chains are on Jools Hollands show tonight. I watched the Tuesday edition of the show and Alice sounded superb, here's hoping they play 'Last Of My Kind' off the new album and maybe an oldie or two off 'Dirt' or Facelift.

Edit/ just noticed they're playing Brum tonight! Can't make it myself, but to all those going have a great night!
