so i just got the alienware, and im sending it back, it has 2 fans in the screen 1 for the oled and 1 for the gysnc module and they are just too loud. sat in a quite room with your screen making a whirring sound to me is just really annoying.

Huh, knew there would be a fan on the GSync module as it's an Ultimate monitor but didn't know there was another for the panel. Saw a video or 2 about the fan noise on these after a while and knew that would drive me up the wall eventually and was waiting to see what the Freesync version was going to be like.

That's a shame tbh, I've had one for the last week or two now and it's totally silent no fan noise at all, I was initially worried before purchasing it, otherwise its spot on.

I don't notice mine either. I could hear the fan in my previous G-Sync Ultimate monitor but this one is either totally silent or the slight hum of the pump in my AIO is just enough to drown out any noise from this monitor

I tried the c2 42 first, and then I sent it back as I still felt it was just too big for me. The 120hz cap was a factor too.

Bought the 3423dw and she's near on perfect for my gaming needs. I don't notice my fans either.

If I didn't know it had fans I'd never know, I can't hear them whatsoever on mine; maybe I'm just going deaf though
