11.6", 4.5lbs, up to 6.5 hour battery life, 335gtm switchable graphics, core 2 duo CPU.

$799

As always with Alienware it looks gaudy, which is unfortunate but if they can make a laptop like this for $799 I would love to see it trickle down to mainstream Dells :D

its also been speculated that it is using a ULV C2d @ 1.3ghz, this could severely limit people buying it as a mobile gaming rig

that would just defeat the point entirely though

they might as well put an Atom in it :D

Is that the mains lead on the left handside?

:o looks like it.

<edit> Actually, it might be an HDMI cable - it's probably hooked up to a large display that's out-of-shot :)

The 1.3ghz dual core su7300 is actually pretty quick, about 2-2.5x faster than an n270.

Running MW2 @ 1280x720 high settings, no AA:

There's also places speculating an i3 version of it.

when this gonna be available?
love it, how this graphic compares to G210m/g230m?

Within the next couple of months in the US, no idea here.

Graphics card should be somewhere between a GT240m and GTS250m, so around 6k in 3dmark06 based on the specs.

Review and Video review on IGN Gear too.

Is the shop going to get these in at all? Would be nice to know since you offer some perks for nothing extra on the M15x.

TBF we get A bigger HDD (320GB vs 160GB) and what I can tell BT inside as standard (Pretty sure it was an option on the US site yesterday when I looked), and also its worth noting the US price is sans-VAT (since it changes depending on where you live there).

Still a reduced specification version of the notebook with the same graphics card under £600 would be fantastic!! :)

Thanks for pointing out the changes in the hardware specification between the UK and US versions of the notebook though!!

Yeah I too was actually expected around £600, which would have been fantastic, but I think I might be able to stretch to the price of one of these.

If OcUK could get them in with the Core 2 for a good price I'd get one. ;) ;) Since it's the only upgrade I'd do on the configurator.

The base spec CPU is still a dual core, the only difference as far as I can tell is that the SU7300 has virtulization and an extra 1mb of cache (3mb over 2mb). Not worth the extra £40 imo.
