@ all North Easterners

Hey, there are great places in the south! Just look at Bath & Bristol, two of the friendliest cities in the country. London is just London, that's why some people say it should be its own country to stop them getting out.

With a bit of luck, we'll be moving to Northallerton late this year. I hate the stigma that comes with Middlesbrough, other than that, it isn't that bad imo.

Boro is a decent night out I have heard.

Who did you hear that from? I've not been out round Boro in years - literally! The Empire can be good and a couple of the bars but theres trouble more often than not, then again, you could say that about many places.

Yes the girls are more friendly up north. They're also slapped up with too much makeup, or too much on show, and either overweight & pasty or fake brown/orange from too much fake tan. Of course there's good and bad everywhere in terms of totty, (London chavettes as an example! but for the most part, the southern girls were just more classy and harder to bag ! Which made things more interesting !

I think you're confusing up north with Essex lol

Personally I can't stand London, I like Derbyshire/South Yorkshire for the simple fact, I can jump in the car and literally 5 minutes away there is the Yorkshire Moors/Bakewell.

The countryside is so much nicer to look at than highrise building and £1000 a week flats

My cousin did his degree at Teeside and he said the nightlife was alright.

I forget the name of nightclub I went to in Redcar a few years back but it was RAF. Good laugh though.

Not anymore it isn't. Loads of places have shut down and the 2 most popular clubs are utter garbage. One would be alright if it had some girls in it but it's jammed full with horny blokes.

Redcar is like something out of Resident Evil and Stockton is just full of chavs.

Yarm is your best bet but it can be quite expensive.

Agreed. Im from Cardiff and the people in Aberystwyth are so much nicer. People in cardiff are ignorant, rude and money driven. Its just the attitude towards the way of life. In Aberystwyth, you can walk down the street in the morning and someone will say hello to you! If you said hello to someone in Cardiff they'd think you were a drug addict or a mentalist and start giving you the eye! Cardiffians are a lot like Londoners to be perfectly honest, a lot of attitude!

Empire's pretty good, but it can get expensive, and it's flipping packed.

LOL, why'd you think that? And I'm not a fan of Stockton, I hate the place.

I love Newcastle. I love Newcastle women and there accent a lot to! Been a few times back in single days. Don't go up much now.

Wouldn't recommend coming to Chesterfield though. Women are more than likely be ready to knock you out around here for just staring there way lol.

Sand dancer here.

Not overly fond of the North East area, but it's not the worst place I 'spose :) Newcastle night out is pretty good, Sunderland isn't, South Shields night life needs to be killed with fire.

Until you hit Scotland - then you find speed cameras every 10th of a mile.

Except fife no fixed cams only a couple of scamera vans :D
Newcastle is amazing but that's just because they love a good drink like us. Agreed on Edinburgh its crap compared to Glasgow. Aberdeen is really friendly as well.

Always lived in the North East, found the difference so strange between us and Southerners at Uni. Never believed it until then.
