@ all North Easterners

Can't beat the South East (Brighton sort of way). Then again, I haven't travelled much up North so will hold definitive answers til I have. :)

With a bit of luck, we'll be moving to Northallerton late this year. I hate the stigma that comes with Middlesbrough, other than that, it isn't that bad imo.

Have you thought anymore about the move to Northallerton mate? Me and Andy on the forums are from there...well I was now live in next town called Bedale!

so no matter what we all think it is true to say there are many northern ocuk folk on here :)

or people with links to the north excellent :)

You can't beat North Yorkshire imo. Fantastic place, proper pubs and full of nice people. Although there's quite a few weirdos in Thirsk. I'd avoid Thirsk town centre.

i was born in north tees. is it really that bad? we left in 81/82

i was born there too. youd struggle to find someone that spoke english or had a job in Stockton town centre during the week. i dont have a problem with that but i do have a problem with the violence and antisocial behaviour that appeared to come with it

a lot of the shops are shut too although its not as ghost town like as redcar turned after all the steel jobs went.

haha is that because they are building a VERTICAL PIER !!!!

what a terrible waste of money in one of the poorest areas of the country

they just spent a few million on stewarts park in boro... half of it on making the pond the same shape it was 'back in the day' . outrageous

Ging, no we haven't, though i'm working in osmotherley atm.

Stewarts park finally has a play area for the kids, it should be made into a proper zoo though, we don't have one in the north east.

Redcar vertical pier, hahaha, what a joke. It isn't even tall.
