has anyone played this here? me and my mate have just downloaded it but won't be able to play till later. I've quickly hopped on to make a character and change the video settings but when I go into the game everyone on chat was speaking Russian? I joined the EU2 server (can't remember the name), how come there's so many Russians on there? :confused:

Also if this game massively Pay2Win? I'm willing to give it a good go as some of the Youtube videos look fun.
 
Because essentially, the game in general is pants, they announced it ages ago, it made general release, people paid for it, then it just went downhill, they made it free to play and well, Russians will play any old rubbish, most people avoid it now tbh

This.

It was good before it was bought out (the previous company went into administration iirc).

Then it went pay2win and full of hackers. Not played since.
 
I played APB:Reloaded for a while, its a great game that has been destroyed by hackers and the pay2win model. Had so much potential, the actual game itself is pretty damn good. The editing of death tunes, grafitti, cars character is fantastic as well.

But yeah the cheating is like no other game lol avoid like the plague now.

The game had some great ideas in concept. The character design, the death tunes etc etc. In the end it was really disappointing.
 
I played the Beta. I never made it to retail - was tempted when it was re-released but looked at the general opinion at the time and decided against it.
 
Well I had a good go with my mate yesterday and we got pretty bored of it after about an hour or so. The game runs really nicely though but it just felt so bland. :(

I'm used to the detailed open world of GTA games and this unfortunately had none of that, the map look unfinished and the city seemed dead. The missions got boring quick and I got really annoyed with having to constantly re-fill ammo. The only redeeming thing is the shoot outs we had with robbers.
 
The game was great before it ended up free to play. The driving was fun, the customization was amazing and the guns could all be unlocked and paid for and kept forever.

Then it went free to play and all the guns ended up timed and all the good ones were real cash only. They also patched the driving and it ended up terrible.
 
Yeah forgot to mention the driving. 'Arcadey' wouldn't the the thing to call it, all the cars felt like you were driving on ice skidding around every where. felt a bit like GTA but you could steer a bit easier, still hated both of those for driving though.

about this pay2win... I don't agree... I have 2 accounts... one with some weapons and one without anything... most of weapons you can buy with ingame cash, the ones you pay with real money are NO better than the normal ones.
The only thing is you need to play the game to get ingame money to buy weapons, so it takes some time, but anyway the starter weapon is not that bad, but not the best one either.

The game sucks, CLICKY I've chucked a lot of hours into this game, met some great people, however great people are a rarity in this game. It's not full of cheaters people just whine a lot. RTW (Realtime Worlds) launched the game a few years back, bad management and the company went bust (you could get a refund for your money), forward a bit, GamersFirst (now Reloaded Games) bought the game and worked on it, launched it no better than what it was, cheaters invaded, however got quickly bored and have since moved on, it can be pretty pay-to-win and is a very grindy game without a premium account. I personally spent quite a lot of money on the game (We're talking hundreds), I joined a big clan that had been around since the start of the game on its original launch on the server that the OP mentioned (Patriot EU2).

The customisation in the game is superb, and frankly that's all that is good about it. The combat system sucks, the matchmaking is even worse (first mission you enter you could be put up against someone who is highest level available with access to all weapons in the game (apart from a select few) and will most probably have Armas Weapons (Weapons for Cash). To sumarise, if you like a lot of customisation in a dying game with infrequent updates and when there are updates not fixing any bugs just adding more content for you to put more money in their bulging wallets to actually get through the levels. Not to forget, poor combat system and ****** matchmaking, then this game is for you.

Take it from me, a player who's put a lot of hours into the game, and knows its community pretty well ;)

Well I play this game for 2 years now and I still enjoy it. (I left the game for 3 months and came back)
I also play on Patriot EU2, which clan were you? and who were you?
