Alligator snapping turtle found in Cumbria

It's times like this that reminds us of just how naff our actual indigenous wildlife truly is. We certainly wouldn't be winning any medals the animal World Cup that is for sure. Our spiders wouldn't even get out of the group stage for example. This turtle is basically the same as Spurs signing Ricky Villa.

Awesome - I shall ride it into battle!!!

I’m very small.

We just need to work out how to make our Pine Martens massive and then we’ll smash everyone

About time we got a dangerous animal in the country, something that can do some damage with power.
None of this false widow or adder nonsense.

We had an escaped Japanese macaque on the loose in the Highlands a few weeks ago.

It's too early to tell if it bred with the local haggis.

The news this morning stated that they can be owned as a pet in the UK, which then makes me wonder how many have bought these small turtles, unaware they can reach 113kg and possibly bigger
