Oh..and remaining sober.... ;)

Hmm - 49days without any alcohol - nope don't think I'll be staying sober even if I wanted too :D

FF is buying me a drink - he already agreed - I have email proof :D :p

Errrr....5 years sober I think...

Remember - there will be some fizzy stuff just to get everyone plastered quickly. :D

I enjoy alcohol too much to go without it for that long, saying that there has only been a couple of times over the past month and half that I've really fancied a drink - once was for a nice cold beer, the other time I was in Tescos walking past bottles of white wine and ended up fancying a glass.

Mic did the several years being T-total - now he's just a light weight :p

dont think im going to make it :( .....

unless someone wants to buy me insurance :p ...could get it now but my dads like no you must wait abit and save money aaarrghhh

As so many folks are bringing Cameras, I think I'll not bother this time around :D

I haven't even started thinking about what I should be taking with me.. an ingenius idea this close to the meet :D Gave my car a once over yesterday to make sure everything was fine. Must sort out and print clear directions too. I can remember the uttoxeter -> alton towers and back route, but not how to get to Uttoxeter from here (other than general motorway names).

I'll have a stab at starting to pack a small bag tomorrow evening when I'm back from work, leaving myself plenty of time to remember stuff over the next couple of days. Everything will be packed, apart from toiletries, on Wednesday evening into my car so that all I have to do on Thursday is spring out of bed, at around 5:30 (spring? yah.. right.. sure), wash, breakfast, pack washbag and then drive.

Hmm.. must sort out a playlist for the journey too...

I'm not sure if I can drag myself out of bed at 6.30-7 AM. Tried twice last week and failed both times - not by much, but enough that I'd miss the early train. Scary fact is that on Friday I have no choice. But then, I also have people to wake me up.

If I do make the early train, then I could be there midday-ish.

Meh.. I have to get up at 6:20 for work anyway. An extra 50 minutes earlier is no hardship. When I'm on my early shift, which I'll be doing for the first time in a couple of weeks time, I'll be getting up at 5:30 every weekday. Used to have to do it on a saturday for a newsagent job I once had, so I know I'm capable of it. Trick is to just move as soon as your alarm goes off, doing it completely on auto pilot. If you even stop to think what time it is you'll never get out of bed. Just hit the alarm button, get up, get washed. By the time you come to properly you're already half dressed with little excuse for getting back into bed again!

Can someone post a list of what they're taking with them, it may help me (and possibly others) to remember things. I'm naturally useless at this kind of thing! :D

My DSC-P200 will be there. As will 2.5GB worth of memory cards. :)

Looks like I'll be the last to arrive at SL, but that's not so much of a problem really. I have found my swimming shorts, so I can get into Cariba Creek, but I'd be equally happy in the bar. :)

Did you get my reply to your email ?

Right, as you know we're booked into a b+b for Friday night. Mark was told by the lady there that if we follow everyone else back to where you are staying, she'll give us directions from there.

We're not 100% sure whether we'll be setting off from my house or my Mum's on friday. If we're setting off from Mum's then chances are we will be late because we'll be adding an extra 40 mins to the journey and will no doubt get stuck in traffic on our way to the M1.

Oh, and we're not bringing along friends anymore, which makes it a much more relaxing day for us \0/

Hi Piggymon,

Is there any accommodation left, I really need a break for a couple of days and this sounds too good to miss?

Cheers

I don't if anyone can squeeze you into Splash Landings ?

Tiggy & 8Ball have squeezed into a local B&B so hopefully they will see this and post the details !

Re Splash Landings you can always find a B&B nearby ( if there's no free room ) and then just pay to enter the waterpark to join in the fun :)

Would be good if you can make it :)
