* Alton Towers - May 18th/19th 2006 *

Thanks Headrat, but we've already booked and sent off our deposit today :)

Mark said the woman he spoke to sounded really nice, so she might not mind what time we get back anyway :)

We'll probably be walking to and from the b+b anyway, so if we'll be stumbling the same way, we'd be happy to stumble with you :)

Sure thing, see you all soon.

Will be good to finally meet up. :D
Especially after god knows how long adminning the DC server.. ;)
Will be good to show the other half that Fiat Coupe is a sensible car *she wouldn't let me have one. :(*

Been and bought some snacks and stuff for the trip - along with 30 cans of coke. Should do the non-drinkers...

Flibster, I have an MS Natural Keyboard that I don't like, and I believe it has your name on it.

Want me to bring it along (provided the other luggage isn't too heavy, as I have quite a long walk to cope with in London :()

Yep indeed really looking forward to it now, you'll have to take her out for a spin in the Coupe ;)

I'm a bit concerned about Splash Landing as I'm not Mr Six Pack (by any stretch of the imagination) but sod it :D

Heh.. none of us fit into that category, and I mean that with no touch of malice or insult to anyone. We're all the size we and none should give a rats arse. I don't think anyone that is turning up can lay claim to much of a six pack, if any. Some, like myself, have barely more meat on us than your typical skeleton! Others are headed towards the other direction... but neither end of any scale should be embarrased by it. As I remember it there, quite a number of parents of kids there put even the largest of us into the shade!

Believe it or not - I'm reasonably set at the moment.... No need to struggle to bring it. :D

If it's easy for you to bring it along - could always do with another spare tbh.

As tempting as it is - maybe let her take a closer look at one though. I'm looking at something both sensible and rwd now. Unless she needs a car then stupid and RWD for me. :D

Still think the Coupe is one of the most stunningly beautiful cars ever created.

If it's out of my way, then so much the better really. It's the only MS natural I didn't like. I currently have a box full of spare MS wireless natural desktop. :)

Fair enough.. :D

Have to say - I didn't like the MS wireless set I got. The mouse is ok - the keyboard is... meh... Wireless range is pathetic though. :(

Use it on the HTPC so it's not a problem as it's mainly controlled by the mouse.

Anyway - 2 days!! :D

Its it the navy blue one with the "f lock" key?

Affirmative (well, it's the one Flibster pointed out, below). I've got two in use (one of which I've already had to use 'gaffer' tape on), and two spares.

If it's the one I have - it's the Black one with the gunmetal top - with the f-lock key....

Also has the Home, End Insert, Delete key bundle reduced to 5 keys and aligned vertically...

Kind of like that one...

*shudder* that stupid f-lock key. I can't understand what they thought they were doing with it. The number of times I forget to press it on boot up and then wonder later on why my function keys aren't working  Nice idea the functions its got on those keys, but it would have been nicer to have that 'f-lock' replaced as a function shift, like on laptops!

On the new natural keyboard - the F-lock is on by defaut so you have normal f-keys. :D

I've been working far too hard just recently and this is going to be a "blow off some steam" event for me ;)

HEADRAT

I'm a walking carpet, so don't worry about looking good next to me - it's guranteed ;)
