Am I a bad neighbour?

Dont report it if you can help it, cant you ask him to move it out the way? if he tells you to f off and its in the way then report it but why not give him a chance?

I'm about to report an untaxed vehicle. The tax per year costs more than the vehicle in question. The vehicle never moves and the tax is 8 months out of date. It hasn't been moved from over a year now. It sits outside in the car park doing nothing. The owner in question has another car he always drives and that is taxed.
The owner is a tool. Approaching him first will result in a verbal conflict.

The untaxed car in question does inconvenience me and other fellow neighbours as we hardly get a space to park our cars.

Shall I open my mouth to the tax man?

No

if i was ok with my neighbour, i wouldnt bother reporting it.

my nephew got hes car reported for being an eyesore (some1 poured paint stripper on it), he had road tax, but no insurance. the car never moved, just parked infront of the house. the car got crushed and he got 7 points.

7 points? So is that for it being uninsured, un-MOT'd and not registered as SORN?

Serves him right if it is - pure laziness for not filling in the SORN And shoving it in the drive or garage somewhere.

@OP - get it reported, there's a car like that in my street, only reason nobody reports it is that the poor chap is housebound due to illness so we don't see the point picking on him :)

Normally, I'd ask them politely to move it, then if they don't, report it. At least if you've asked him first, he knows why it's been reported if he doesn't move it. I'd be pretty annoyed if my car was reported for something I wasn't aware of. Although, I suppose I'd have to be stupid not to notice it's annoying people.

Maybe he's just an *******, if so, just report it anyway.

Drop him in it. If he's the abusive type (as you seem to suggest he is), just report him. He clearly doesn't give a toss whether the car is there or not, whether he's breaking the law or not, or whether anyone reports him anyway.

Do it.

car had MOT, road tax, just no insurance.

Loads of bad karma going on in this thread, for all that said report him, lets hope the same happens to you times 3, an it harms none, do as you will, peace and blessings, S

just report it.
if you do it online DVLA site they dont ask for contact details, just put as much information in the remarks box(looks like you care as opposed to being vindictive towards the vehicle owner)

it's not instant though, we had one, and the first thing they do is send letters and wait for the responce, it took about a month before it was moved but it did the job( the van in question had been there for over a year, untaxed and un moved, in a street cul de sac area.)

bullit

lets hope the same happens to you times 3

thats not very nice, but why sould we pay for the privalage of being legal, and not them, if they want to keep vehicles Pay yer monies, or move it somewhere private

How do you know it's not taxed?

The DVLA have sent me three tax discs out since I renewed in April and none of them have arrived so you'd look at my car and assume it's not taxed, but it is.
