Am i a grumpy whinger because...

Since my girlfriend passed her test and we sorted out her own car, She has been a lot more respectful of my car. Which is a good thing as she may be using it later this year for her commute to work. Shiver

Its only thing what drives me nuts about her, fact she is just totally oblivious when it comes to respecting my stuff.

I get told i am starting a argument out of nothing when i have just simply asked her to show some respect for my stuff, yet she always has to question it?... Don't you just get sick of it? they're all the same!
 
Things like this make me glad I have a 10 year old car.

I just don't allow smoking in my car, everything else is cool really.

An ex did that once (but didn't have shoes on), i told her to take her feet off my dash, she didn't see the problem so i gave her a lecture about respecting peoples property. She never did it again but it made me angry that some people have so little respect for other peoples things.
 
damaging the leather is out of order as it is permanent but I am not fussed about a bit of food or smoking as I smoke so unless I have just cleaned it I don't care.

People slamming the doors or getting mud everywre annoys me also. Show some respect.

Just scuff her shoes or handbag and see how she likes it.

God dam hoes. You can't turn a how into a housewife. Remember.

Makes no odds on how much you moan at them, they still end up doing it
 
I never realised there was a right and a wrong way to get in and out of a car I've always just plonked myself in without thinking, probably wrecked dozens of leather seat but I guess thats serves the owner right for having the horrible uncomfortable stuff!

I'd say lighten up, do you tell people how to get on and off your sofa's? or not to get jiggy in your spare bed to preserve the springs?

Comparing what they are doing too destroying their best clothes or makeup etc isn't really right either as all they are doing is using your car for what is was designed for ie being transported from A to B cleaning you wheels with her make up brush is hardly and example of the same thing.

Agreed. I think some of you are in for a shock when the sprogs come along. I'd advise against telling them to GTFO on a dual carriageway though, social services frown on that for some reason.

I'm car-less at the moment, but my cars are generally rubbish tips on wheels anyway, so never bothers me.
 
with my old car, anyone could have done whatever the hell they wanted to do in it, other than smoke drugs.


new one though, at the moment, most is a no-no whether or not its only a little corsa :)
 
I see mine as just a car now, used to go mad looking after them but its not worth it. If someone asked me to do something differently in there car i would though, in mine im not fussed.
 
People slamming car doors annoys me. Considering almost all of the cars that belong to people I know don't require much force/effort to shut a door at all it really is something I loathe. The doors on my car need a decent push to get them to close properly and I acknowledge that but it's when they slam the doors of the other cars (and to an extent, mine) and make the car physically rock of side to side that annoys me, it's just not needed.
 
My girlfriend used to slam doors when closing, open doors into walls and posts, let go of the door handles letting them spring back (weak point on the Rovers)... I think she's getting the idea now though.

Glad to hear others don't let their gfs get away with this. I always thought I was being a bit harsh nagging her about things like that.
 
People who are saying about children doing the same ITS BECAUSE THEY ARE CHILDREN, once you get above the age of 18 you should have a little common sense and respect for someone else's property and there is no excuse not to.

Some of the gf's on here would be gone double quick if they did these things and then came out with the crap you are quoting.

I can't stand idiotic people who are incapable of taking something on board and try to justify they idiocy with statements like "its only a car".

If they can't respect something that you like, whatever it may be, then ditch them. It seems to becoming more and more common for people to be so arrogant and stupid that they can't apologise when they have done something wrong.

Does it not strike you that some people never learn things because everyone makes allowances for their issues. If she can't understand that you like to keep your car in as good condition as possible for whatever reason, then she can walk.
