Am I Wasting My Time Trying To Get Fallout 3 GOTY To Work?

I gave up with Fallout 3 in the end. When I got it it wouldn't work with my graphics card. Every time I reinstalled or upgraded card I would try again with Fallout, but it just crashed during the intro when you are born.

In the end my GTX570 SC worked with it and I played for a while and was enjoying it a bit. But then when I downgraded it went back to crashing when I tried to load the save.

Not a lot I could do, sadly. IMO Bethesda should be made to go back and "finish" it, as it's hardly an isolated problem.
 
Finally got it working.

Turns out it didn't like the fact that I had data from a previous game in the My Documents folder. Deleted that and turned off HDR it seems to be going fine.

No doubt it'll fall on it's arse soon enough. :)
