Am I wrong to want an Impreza?

Just an update

Went to SURREY Rolling Road last night, guy from scooby clinc was there and had a look and he is allmost certain the idle control valve just needs cleaning. Problem is its not quite as simple as it looks so i may get GRD to do this for me. Had it on the rollers to check everything was ok and it is.

It made 289.6 which charlie said was about right really, defo not the lowest he has seen one of these make and also suggested that running texaco 97 probably didnt help either (had no choice as i was going to run out of fuel the night before normally she runs on vmax or tesco 99)

:)

Cheers for everyones advice etc

I used to have a PSI3 monitor, was useful bit of kit for reading all sorts of info off the ecu and reading/resetting error codes etc. Don't think they are in business anymore but you could pick one up second hand off scoobynet. There was another type as well but I can't remember the name at the moment

Yes, they're out of business. I think the other device was called a SECS or something similar?

Last question i promise :p

Where is the best place to buy impreza parts from ?

For example the best place to buy vauxuall parts is autovaux rather than the dealers because its sooo much cheaper :)

Scoobyclinic in Chesterfield are good too.
And if you need anything for a Japanese Subaru, irs.co.jp. They got me a new primary turbo for my Legacy B4 for £710 (all in, including shipping and duty) and I had it in a week. Subaru UK wanted £2000 and 2 months for the same part. Best part is all IRS did was buy it from the Subaru dealership down the road, stick on a markup and post it to me.
