Am scared....

id hit it... er....

nah i really like these hatchbacks. wasnt that keen to begin with and they could do with being a bit more hardcore i guess..but i like none the less.

As said, you need to see one right in front of your very eyes - they're better in the flesh and the presence becomes apparent, you don't sense this through pictures.

Still ugly mind, but then that's part and parcel.

The one that regularly drives past me on my walk to work certainly has presence. Black with gold multispoke alloys.

Ugly? Yes. Naff interior? Check. Would I have one if it came into my price range in the future? Aye love I would.

I know the lads down the local Subaru garage and they say that once you've driven one of the new ones you'll never want to step into an old one ever again.

They're meant to be amazing to drive, go drive one and tell us what you think!

Definately it's more mature now, but still widely acknowledged to be a complete weapon.

Will be getting my maulers on one within next 3 weeks or so.

True. They do look much better in the flesh than photos.

Personally its saloon or nothing for me. 06/07 Spec C if I was in the market for a newer one.

Probably not relevent here but classics are still my favorite by some margin.

If that is coming from guys who loved the old STi, I'm suprised. In comparison, it's a bit of a disapointment I thought. To a new buyer who perhaps hasn't owned an STi or Impreza before, I can see the appeal as a package to possibly live with on a day to day basis if you forgive a few issues like the interior.

If you got out of a 05 WRX and into a 05 STi, the difference was clear, especially if it had the PPP. The ride, steering, response, speed and things like the DCCD and seats made it abundantly clear everything had been turned up to 11. The 330s is supposed to be the pumped up, hardcore Impreza so personally, I thought it was a bit of a let down. If you dropped the power but left the rest of the car and badged it a WRX I wouldn't have any issues with what I drove. As it is, it just can't quite seem to make up it's mind what it is.

It's slower, looser, quieter and comfier than the older STi. It's an excellent car but it could be fantastic, especially with the switchable modes and the gearbox. If I were in the market for something like this it would be high on my list but on the proviso that it needs some money thrown at it.

I think the biggest problem with the new STi, as ever is the body roll. But I thought the 330s has the PPP and suspension as well as alloys etc?

Merlin, if you drive it and fall in love, come see me if you still work on Hagley Road, I want a go! :D

Meh

id rather have one of these

It's an STi with the PPP, leather+alloys etc, like a Spec D I think. Haven't driven the new plain STi or the WRX so can't comment on the differences really between them.

I received a letter from Porsche inviting me to try *any* of the Porsche range for 24hrs

I wonder how they define "any"

GT3 RS plz k thnx :D

then "do a delecour" and ring all your mates and shout down the phone to them "i'm driving the new GT3 RS !" :D

The guy across the road from me has one of those 330's in like a perlescent white with black wheels, it actually looks reasonably good. I agree that it's not a head turner like the older models were, and that when it first came out I really hated it, guess its a bit of a marmite car.
