Amazing but how does it work????

maybe it was chance, was pointing at it for about 20 secs with the mouse still, moved it an incy bit and it showed me the symbol it was pointing at.

i may be wrong though, i'm thick :o

Just to test, open the link in a small IE/Firefox window, now when it gets to the last screen make sure your mouse pointer is off the window.

It still picks a symbol, and the symbol it picks is always a multiple of 9.

Again to make sure go through the picture with all the symbols on it and you will see every symbol that is the same as the one it showed you will be above a multiple of 9.

:)

Woo hoo, this is my 500 post. :)

You are wrong ;)

It is maths, your number will always be a multiple of 9.

The symbols are randomised, but it is always the same symbols for all multiples of nine.

Your answer will always be:
9
18
27
36
45
54
63
72
81
90
etc...

Look at the numbers for all of those digits, they match ;)

ok fair enough this multiple of nine thing..but *** i dont understand is how it knows WHICH one u r thinking of...how does it choose the right symbol!?

Look at all the symbols for 9, 18, 27, etc. They're always all the same. Well, I'd guess that 90 and 99 could be different, as you can't get those numbers.

How can it be explained any easier than my previous post.

Your answer will always be a multiple of 9?

Your answer will always be:
9
18
27
36
45
54
63
72
81
90
etc...

Look at the images for all of those, they match.

The patern it chooses is random, but it fixes an image to all multiples of 9.
For a different way of looking at it
Think of a single digit number

Multiply that number by 2

Find the word that matches your number

1 = hello
2 = goodbye
3 = toilet
4 = goodbye
5 = cheese
6 = goodbye
6 = longhorn
8 = goodbye
9 = bacon
10 = goodbye
11 = window
12 = goodbye
13 = north
14 = goodbye
15 = bacon
16 =goodbye
17 = window
18 = goodbye

Your word is goodbye.

Your answer is always going to be an even number, so you to fix the answer you just make sure that the word on all the even numbers is the same

You can substitute the word goodbye for sandwich... do that as many times as you like, and you'll always get the word sandwich

All they're doing is forcing 9,18,27,36 (etc) to effectively be exactly the same, so no matter whether you've come to 9, 36, 54 or 81 you will get the same picture... an X for example

Then when you do the test again, they change the picture to a Y... but that picture is on all the multiple's of 9... so Y is on 9, Y is on 18 etc...

Refresh it again, and they've changed the picture to a Z... now Z is on 9, Z is on 18, Z is on 45 (etc)

What's really weird is I skipped the maths bit and just picked a symbol at random on the board and it was the right one ZOMG! :eek:

Where can I buy a tinfoil hat?

:p

I'd presume that since there are that many fixed images in the results, you're odds of randomly choosing an image and it being a multiple of nine would increase.

It's easier to subconsciously choose something that is more prominently displayed even if something is supposedly "random"

Surely if you had 100 images, and 80 of those were random but 20 were always the same... you'd be more likely to pick one of those fixed 20 since you've become familiar with the image?

Just plucking ideas out of my head for that though.
