Amazon Dash-Button

Crikey - how much stuff do you buy!!! I've made one order from Amazon since Christmas (on razor blades because they were cheap).

31 orders in March, 129 so far this year.

(Some of that is parts for PC upgrades/builds for family/friends and about 1/3rd is work related).

This will mean an end to 'drunken amazon roulette surprise' when you get a package and can't remember what the hell you've ordered this time..

For this reason, I'm out.

Also I await the first post in MM

Cheap dog food for sale:

'my dog food was running low, a lorry has just turned up with 25 metric tones of Pedigree chum and now my bank account is empty, the dog food dispencer is blaming amazon and amazon are blaming the dog food dispenser - it's going to take months before someone admits liability'.

Took my second delivery of 1100 Typhoo tea bags. Only took us 6 months to get through the last bag :D

I'm confused. Do you have to set this to a single product, and then go and reconfigure it when you want to set it to a different one? If so, what's the point? You can't seriously forget to buy the same item every time you forget to pick something up?

I get most things delivered to work. also use Amazon for work related purchases

Why do buy a lot of safety glasses? are you buying them for your work or for yourself?

Safety glasses/goggles are not made equal as such different tasks require suitable and different levels of protection. They are for work was just topping up the PPE

dont i know it. got 5 different pairs for just for normal tasks at work. then a sixth for a task on Fridays.

I think amazon already gave up on the idea.

i like the idea of this but i think there could be a much better/more usable option (which may actually exist)

say tesco (or any other store) made an app that will scan bar codes and add to your accounts shopping list. the account is shared amongst all the family and linked to your clubcard. when i go to the cupboard and run out of milk, quickly scan the milk barcode and put down how many i want. when i'm next at tesco or any other family member, if the app knows i'm in their store (by gps or perhaps connecting to tesco wifi) then the app brings up the list of items i've added to my shopping list. this also includes all other family members that had added to our list, and works the same if they were to go into the store it'll tell them what i've added. you do your shop, scan your clubcard and then it'll do a final check to see if you've got the 3 cartons of milk, 2 loads of bread etc, and if you haven't remind you, and if you have, remove them from the list and tell other family members a shop has taken place so that other family members don't go do another shop for the same items.

that's a much more useful idea imo then a silly button for only a few brands.
