A rival to Chromecast, Apple TV, Roku....

Amazon are now showing off their new video streaming hardware, the Amazon Fire TV box. This may make the new Prime subscription palatable if it’s free or cheap.

I wonder what the GBP is ans what SoC is inside. EDIT - Adreno 320 GPU so I'm guessing it's a S600 SoC

Liking it so far as I'm not tied to any media player at the moment which can't be returned.

if its a S800 might do HD audio decode, but more likely to be a S600 with 3G stuff removed due to the GPU

Starting to become the trend that multiple units are needed from different manufacturers...

Youtube is due to google, same reason not on roku.

Well it looks like xbmc have taken it upon themselves to have a good look at it. Fingers crossed they can allow all the sound formats to passthrough
