Amazon making some items prime only purchases

The selection is smaller as it is held in a local warehouse, think of a corner shop as opposed to a supermarket super store but it has more things than i thought. I got a big box of Lego to my TomTom through that.

Just searched for a GTX 980 - no problems and I can filter it down as much as I like on the left-hand side menu? Not sure what the problem is?

Prime, for me, has moved from being fantastic for delivery to providing all of my entertainment needs. There's room for improvement (i.e. a Windows Phone app for Prime Music and Prime Video) but it does it really well.

They're constantly updating the media as well and some of there original shows (i.e. Lucifer / Bosch) are very, very good.

Out of the 100+ things I've ordered on Prime next day I've had one item delivered late. The CS was fantastic and added another month of Prime on to my account and made sure the item got there the next morning. Oh and Prime Same Day was even better. Ordered around 8AM and got it at 6PM. Can't complain as I paid £70 for it when it was on the anniversary thing!

I don't use Amazon enough to justify Prime, and have no interest in any of the Prime extras. If I'm being forced to buy something I don't want to get the thing I do want, I'll simply shop elsewhere. It may be mildly annoying, but it's Amazon's choice to run their business that way, and it's my choice to shop elsewhere.

Some folks are getting confused. Amazon prime is pitched for people where price isn't their number 1 priority.

To me an extra £5 on an item isn't going to make jack all difference to my life and most Prime users lives.

The speed of dispatch, speed of delivery and the no nonsense returns policy makes me use it.

I am happy with Prime, like Netflix you can soon get through the films and tv series, but the massive amount of music is great, can not remember the last time i paid for music(keeping it legal), I do not use kindle but have had a look through, and the free postage and next day delivery, even on a sunday is great, and i do not think the prices are to bad

Since you asked, lets science this. Do a search for "gtx 970" (including the quotations denoting the two words must appear together) and then click 'sort by' price low to high after the results come in.
I get loads of baseball caps with no relation at all to this GPU or with GTX 970 in the title.

In 17 years of using Amazon I have never put quotations in their search box...it's much smarter than you think.

Delivery within 2 hours, within 1 hour you have to pay £5.99. I think it is guaranteed. Note that by default, the check out adds £2 tip to the driver, which you can take off if you want to.

There is a live tracker to show where the driver is on the map.

The driver will call you if he can't find the address, as he did once for mine, I just met him downstairs.

In this instance, use some common sense and ignore it.....

But it sounds like you are trying your hardest to find faults in the system. The site being what it is, selling everything, it will bring up anomalies so just use your own common sense.

If you know what GTX 970 is then you know what they are and won't be confused with something else.

Yes, they want customers to buy a much cheaper product instead of the one they're looking for. That must be it.

Their catalogue is absolutely massive, of course you're going to get irrelevant search results crop up. It does spoil the user experience a bit but it's probably not an easy fix either.

If you can't find what you're looking for on Amazon it's probably not the search engine's fault.

That's because gigabyte the muppets have put gtx 970 in the product description. The search function is behaving perfectly.
