Amazon Prime Day 2022

I got some odds and sods. the free games for one, but a blink doorbell and extra dot to go with my blink cameras from black Friday last year was nice. also got a few Xmas presents for the lad and a new fire 8 tablet (the Amazon prime kids sub it comes with makes it a no brainer)

I got a firestick 4k for 22.99, lucky as my old one just groke last week.

Struggling to find good deals on some otf the tools I need to replace though.

Spent too much!

I have a list of 20 or so items I keep an eye on so if a bargain pops up, however only 3 of those I snagged in the Prime event.

1. Bsoch IXO 6 screwdriver - £33 - Cheapest it's ever been (for the 6th gen version. normally £45-50), my neighbour is a carpenter and when I asked how did he screw all the bracketry and trims on the tops of tall units he leant me his older Bosch IXO screwdriver that looked like a toy but was perfect and he's had that a number of years and says its the most valuable tool in the box.
2. EzViz Wired Doorbell kit - £89 - Cheapest that's every been (£109 normally). Not the best, but crucially I can connect it to my Hikvision NVR for full time recording and as long as it chimes when the door is pressed thats all I need! Also had the 16gb micro SD thrown in from their regular promotion.
3. BX500 1TB SSDs - £53 - Cheapest I've seen it anywhere (currently £60-70 everywhere) but I needed 2 of these for laptop spinning disk replacements.

I am still looking for a robot vacuum (our entire ground floor is hard flooring and would be an ideal candidate for automation!), but the requirements of Pet Waste detection, Auto-empty bin, Mop ability (Happy to manually fill/empty water) and good features to map/set no go areas had me looking at the heftily discounted Ecovacs Omni X1 (£899).. Ecovacs UK sales entitity matched the prime event price and even had an extra 5% off, but I'm not ready to spend £830+ on a robot vacuum, my comfort level is £400..

Other than that, nothing jumped out from my other 17 items in my wish list.

So on Tuesday I nearly went to Argos to buy my wife a laptop and on Wednesday my colleague said she was after a new one so going to look at Amazon Prime Day which I'd totally forgot about.
Went on Amazon and it was half price compared to Argos, it comes tomorrow.

ended up with 5 large boxes at the door today.

New headphones, an Echo Show 5 with ring doorbell (it was cheaper than buying the 5 alone for my dad), and 4x really useful boxes because they are reasonably handy.
