Amazon Prime TV

They wouldn't have the rights to show most of it in Aus, I'm guessing. If they don't advertise US prime in Aus then they're not exactly screwing you over.

They did advertise it in Aus. They encouraged sign-up's via amazon.com where Aussies can buy kindle books. I got loads of free month offers from them.

They own the rights to shows like The Man in the High Castle and could have chosen to allow Aus customers to view it...but they didn't.

Season 3 of Black Sails is on Prime now, although it's being released one episode per week which is frustrating - although on the plus side this prevents the remorse from binge watching the whole season in a few evenings.

First two episodes of the new season have been great, it keeps on getting better.

yup, awesome show - watched episode 3 last night :)

Mad dogs is quite enjoyable:

technically not an 'original' as it is adapted from the UK show of the same name... but I've not seen the UK version and this Amazon US version is pretty good

I wish I'd have saved Bosch s2 to last a few weeks instead of watching it all in one weekend.

Started Hap and Leonard now - only 4 episodes released, I've seen three. Seems OK but a bit predictable - not sure I've seen anything quite like it before. It stars Omar from The Wire, Christina Hendricks and bizarrely James Purefoy as a Texas redneck (but hey, he's a good actor so he pulls it off imo).

Patriot:
Intelligence officer John Tavner's latest assignment, to prevent Iran from going nuclear, requires him to forgo all safety nets and assume a "non-official cover" as a mid-level employee at a Midwestern industrial piping firm. A bout with PTSD, the government's incompetence, and the intricacies of keeping his day job cause a barrage of ever-escalating fiascos that jeopardize the mission.

It's a dark comic drama about a spy who deals with the stress of his job by singing folk songs. It's really funny, great performances from New Zealand actor Mike Dorman and Terry O'Quinn (Lost). They only have one episode at the moment but hopefully a complete season will emerge before long.

So how many of you have Amazon Prime with another service and which one do you have?

I have Sky, but plan to cancel in a few days and go for Amazon Prime to begin with and maybe add another service later.

I do use it for some tv, they have got better shows recently. God knows how many times I've watched red dwarf on there lol. I'll have to have a watch of some of the suggestions above.

But mainly use plex for TV shows and movies.

Sky... That word is never mentioned in our house ;). I use something else.

ive always enjoyed walking dead. Gotten really good past few series.

Netflix, Amazon and NowTV (shows)...costs about £20/month. Currently have NowTV movies for £3.33/month as well.

NowTV takes care of anything i'd normally watch on Sky, Netflix is good for exclusives as is Amazon and any movies I don't want to wait for, I use Amazon PPV.

It's probably overkill, I could use any 1 service and have plenty to watch but I like to have the variety.

I've got Sky and Amazon. I could (and did) get by fine with just Sky but I think I'd be bored fairly quickly if I just had Amazon.

I just have Amazon Prime. Sky will not knowingly get another penny of my money.

We have Sky and Amazon Prime. Sky gets watched more than Prime.

Binned Sky since In sick of subsiding sports channels that I don't watch.
Always had Prime for the delivery, the shows, and music streaming are just a nice bonus imo. Also have Netflix which is the best value for content, and they are now taking big name shows from Sky and other channels.

I got rid of sky a long time ago. Just so darn expensive. What is it £50+ a month? With everything movies, sports etc £90? christ .

I get all of that for £45 a year.

Do watch some prime shows but mainly prime delivery as above. Can't beat amazon on delivery. As long as purchased from EU Sarl. Can have replacement the next day before you have even sent the old one back. Sorry OCUK :).
