AMD 12.4 beta drivers

Do they work ok with afterburner? Some of the more recent drivers stop the GPU clock from showing. Also had problem with Radeon Pro profiles stopping working.

Iv hit a problem with these drivers. AMD vision wont open i get an error.

"Catalyst Control Centre: Host application has stopped working"

BF3 works nicely with them and Afterburner is reporting 12.4 drivers.

Any idea's?

Yeah I just played BF3 and AB was working normally for me.

No complaints about these drivers.

Far and away the best feeling drivers so far on 2 x 7970s. BF3 smooth and silky. No idea if they are actually quicker or just feel that way though.

Afterburner works in "official" over-clocking mode. Still does not work outside the standard overclock limits though, even with the hacks. Some people manage to get it working with the hacks.

In the end I used TRIXX to go outside the limits for benching and just use afterburner at all other times.

Yeah, have noticed with crossfire that Afterburner causing major issues on my system when trying to OC the GPU's. Actually, sometimes even when not OCing.

It's my preferred software though due to easily being able to monitor temps/clocks/usage in-game.

Have started using latest trixx too due to issues with AB.

Am hoping the Cat 12.3's come out today as with all the hassle had with crosfire 7950's, amd going to try sticking with WHQL drivers.

Couple of issues I noticed with these.

The ATI HD audio driver crashes if I enable it to come through my TV but only when I change channel, it's fine if I keep it on the HDMI channel.

Also I'm getting a high pitched on off whirring noise with the fan I think it's when using Trixx.

It woke me last night and at first sounded like someone in the room breathing strangely freaked me out a bit!
When I turned on my monitor I notice I had both Trixx and CCC running after a reboot an hour earlier both of which have a custom fan setting I think turning off Trixx and CCC overdrive stopped it.

Sounds like your custom fan profile was sat right between two thermal states and the fan was ramping up and down.
