AMD 13.5 Beta 2 Performance Benchmarks

Yeah if guys could run 7950 benches at similar clocks or settings to me and get them posted that would be great. Same with other Radeon cards and or xfire cards. I might even stick in our HD7770 and clock the nuts off it and run some 1080p benches in the week.

It's been great to see the progress AMD have been making with their drivers recently.

Sounds like they're going to remain the best GPUs to buy if the GTX 700 series is anything like the rumors are saying.

Good work btw and good info. Nice to see user bench results rather than some questionable reviewers. I would trust these :)

Crysis 3 is the first game ive seen that has brought my clocked 7970 to its knees at the highest settings at a res of 1440p. Everything else can be run at ultra with good fps providing you knock AA down a tad or in a couple of cases disable it completely. (farcry 3 and Tomb Raider)

FXAA can be safely run on all titles but i did disable it Crysis 3 though to be honest im not sure it made any difference to the fps.

I might actually run Hitman again and put AA at x2 as there is fps to spare on that bench. I might also retest Bioshock with DDOF enabled.

Tried metro LL ??

I don't own it, yet. I'll be getting it at some point. I heard that was a bit of a gpu killer as well. Although ive also heard that AMD performance has improved a lot since they released the game patch a few days back.

yes before the patch it was quite bad on ati cards it was a big jump on metro after it

Nice boosts of around 10% in bioshock and sleeping dogs. That's good gains for a driver to bring and shows amd are still able to bring more performance from the gcn architecture.

A couple for CF 7970's @ 1920x1080

Sleeping dogs is completely broken for me, either in game or benchmark HKShip.exe keeps crashing, Metro LL bench locked up my whole system though that may be down to the overclock rather then game, when it crashed (around 90 seconds in) it was averaging around 83fps.

Erm....? Matt, i'm looking at your game pre-sets "Tomb Raider - Ultra Preset - TressFX"

Your 7970 @ 1250 / 1823: has Tomb Raider 42 / 53 / 66. that's not right for "Ultra Preset - TressFX" I have just run it (13.4 testing) and got 40 / 54 / 68 with straight Ultra Preset - TressFX.
There is a setting, shadows, i think, that defaults to normal or high on Ultra Preset, did you have that turned up as its a good 25% or more.

In any case i think Ultra Preset as it is is probably a good idea as for those with a GTX 660 / 7850, the actual full settings will roll a slide show for them.

Perhaps run it again and update your chart?

:)

Edit- no wait, 1440P... i'm running 1080P...lol

I run ultra preset i do not tweak individual settings so shadows were on normal for all my benches. :)

How do these benchmarks compare to 13.4 WHQL?
