AMD 13.5 Beta 2 Performance Benchmarks

Sleeping dogs is completely broken for me, either in game or benchmark HKShip.exe keeps crashing

Try renaming/remove those two files and see if SD starts up.:)

Cheers tommy I'll try that tonight, the game and bench start up fine, just after a minute or so the .exe stops responding.

Its actually the reason I stopped playing sleeping dogs :p

@ ~>Dg<~ Can you redo the bioshock one but using the ingame benchmark, I'm currently benching the games I have installed with the current drivers and the new betas, but using fraps we could get massively different scores ie

Added Farcry 3. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=24312601&postcount=48

There is some serious CPU derived bottlenecking going on in this game, GPU usage was up and down between 65% and 99%.... so much for the power of Intel CPU's

The cause is typical, bad game engine, one core on my i7 pinned near 100%

Its a shame, Ubisoft make some good games, but are always full of bugs and poor optimisation.

Ubisoft are one of the developers AMD are working with now, lets hope they can help them fix their broken game engines.

You reading this AMD? fix their bloody game engines.....

What's the i7 clocked at?
Also, it's almost 5 years old and core for core performance from Intel from a 4.8GHZ Ivy is going to be like 40% higher, that will be 45% with Haswell in like 2 weeks.

3.4Ghz, it will probably go to 3.8Ghz with a better cooler on it, but I can't see it going much higher.

I'd be surprised to see it miss 4GHZ, but even 4GHZ is almost 20% extra performance core for core.

A 4.8GHZ Ivy core is like ~60% better for core core than your 3.4GHZ i7. It's really illogical to come up with "So much for the power of Intel" when you're basing it on a lowly clocked chip that's 4 and a half years old.

Well I never would have known that blindingly obvious thing, there.... had you not pointed it out.

I think your taking it just a little to personally, I don't understand why, a highly overclock Ivy Bridge didn't come into it, you obviously assumed i'm making some sort of comparison, NO!
But i'm not going to get drawn into this with you and wreck this thread.

Send me a trust message if you want to carry on reacting to my comment.

Good stuff Humbug. That 7870XT looks like a nice little card. I was actually considering one to crossfire with my 7970 a while back.

I see you copied my farcry bench procedure. I think all games these days should come with a built in benchmark as standard. I hope battlefield 4 has an in game benchmark this time.

Thanks ^^^ :)

Its not bad, not a million miles away from the 7950, so for its money (if you get one at £180) its fantastic.

But with 7950's now starting to appear again for just over £200.... i'm. um? yeah, perhaps....maybeeeeeeee :D

When I got the Giga 7870 I was pretty determined to make my self to hang on to it for one year. min, 8 moths I think it was, I did pretty well and am proud of myself  but I like shiny new and better things :D

And at the end of the day reselling it in perfect condition in its original box...ect, i'm not making a big loss on them, Keep the box, always keep the box ;)

Anyway, I agree, built in benchmarks is a must these days.
