AMD 5000+ Black Edition Overclocking Results

Anyone any Idea how i can get mine running @ 3.2 Ghz with 16x multiplier?

Currently I'm @ 3.0Ghz with 1.35v. I've tried going up to 16x and upping the voltage to about 1.4v but on Prime95 it gives me an ILEEGAL SUMOUT error and sometimes BSODS at 3.2Ghz.

Thanks if you can offer me any help. According to Speedfan my Core is about 26'c @Idle and about 45'c with load.
 
drop vcore and a little to HTT bus and northbridge :) ull get it there edleake :) u super pi 1m tested it yet?
 
It's alright, at the end of the day still an A64 so it's not going to get good SuperPi results. I'd say it's an expected SP result for the CPU you've got and the clocks it's running.
I'd expect a 939 Opteron to be quicker at similar clocks due to the 1mb, faster L2 cache.

Try out some other (better) benchmarks, should get some decent results.
 
Great to finally see some AMD overclocking threads. I was thinking about possibly dropping in a 5000BE or a BE-2400 into my computer to try to hit 3.2Ghz+ but it would really be too much effort with having to remove the mobo etc. Might as well just get a 3870 instead...

Just as a reference, I got 28.578s with my Opty 170 @ 3.05Ghz, RAM @ 203MHz 2-3-2-5.
 
Not much seems to like phenom to be honest, It seems they have got off on the wrong foot , should have waited a little longer and done futher testing but there we go, might be a good upgrade for us with AM2 boards ..
 
Please can anyone help me, I'm having trouble overclockng this one past 3.0Ghz
I just got a Tuniq Tower and i still can't get past 15x @ 3Ghz. I've tried upping to voltage to about 1.4 but I end up getting BSOD or random shutdown when its up to 16x, which this CPU should be pretty capable of?
Are the only limiting factors for increasing the Multiplier, Temperature and Voltage?

Temperature seems fine now wth this @ 3Ghz + tuniq tower , about 33c with medium load.

If anyone could help I would appreciate it a lot, didnt want to start a new thread over this so decided to use this one.
