AMD 9800X3D ETA OFFICIAL THREAD

Order confirmed 14:16, by card. Paid to upgrade from RM to DPD last week. Haven't had anything to indicate it's shipping yet.

I hope that swapping delivery didn't change my queue slot. Order history still says RM but I trust that the support agent has upgraded it to DPD.

We are still expecting 50 more this week, I think we are now transitioning into wave 2 orders on the majority. :)

I suspect wave 2 won't be completed until AROUND 1st week of December.
By mid December we should be into Wave 3 and if all goes to plan we do hope to clear the lot, fingers crossed, but its not a guarantee we are still at the mercy of AMD and the shipping gods.
 
I'm building a new PC based around the 9800X3D
I have put together the case, cooler and so on, but first intend to use my old motherboard and cpu to get everything set up and working.
It's a way of making me patient!! I get to test out the build so the new motherboard and cpu just slots in there, while keeping me busy waiting for plentiful supplies of the cpu.
 
Yes @SpellowHouse that's a really good idea! My friend did something similar and just got a cheap 7500F so that he can upgrade to either the 9800x3d or 9950X3d when the stock levels stabilise, and maybe the price is reduced.

That's what I'm doing waiting for supply to sort it self out and any issues that may arise get sorted as well

Is this batch a pre midday shipment aim again or anytime before 6? Just trying to gauge the chance of my 14:18 being delivered before the weekend via RM.

Seems a lot PayPal orders after are getting shipped so I'd hope mine is tomorrow, I don't think the pick order is going as you originally thought, might be something to try and expose in the future if you guys ever get the time as while you update regularly on here (thanks) it still sucks a bit seeing those with later orders getting shipped when all data on the face of it says it shouldn't.
(Bit of a selfish view and first world problem I admit! It's the point of preorders though, to lock a position in queue).

My case and CPU are having a race. I decided to get a Silverstone Alta D1 case. It's a monster. And the Silverstone distributor told me the ones for Europe are on a container ship that docks at the end of November. So I currently have no idea what order things will arrive in.

You can manage without the case, not so much the CPU.:D
I also need a case but might dig out one from the loft if this CPU manages to ship on Wednesday. My old case is MATX and this will be my first full ATX build for a long time.

Maybe you want to update your main post as those previous timings were overly generous in comparison.

Any time before 6 as we paid £372 exc. VAT for them, so £3 profit a CPU, so an actual loss with overheads factored in.
They have cost more as I got them from a none master distributor but for us it is important to clear orders if we make a small loss it does not matter.

Those 50 are now due tomorrow.
