**AMD 9950X3D Owners Club**

Got mine yesterday. In it went today into the removable motherboard tray. Already updated the bios for new cpu compatability with a basic cpu i got off amazon (thats going back now :) )

Just realised this forum doesnt allow uploading images?

I have started my stability testing runs I am using a mixture of prime, occt and aida64. Personally I don’t think aida stresses it enough but for some reason I can pass prime and occt all day long but if OC is a little sketchy it crashes in aida within seconds.

Once I settle on the CO and I am sure it is stable I will start to eclk it. If I don’t see 6ghz I am getting a threadripper to play with instead…

:p

You'll never see 6mhz
(unless you're talking about overclocking a Z80)
Heh my bad. I meant 6ghz

So according to HWinfo if the readings are correct some of the cores have peaked at 5,925 mhz non X3d ccd and and the x3d ccd has peaked at 5,725 mhz.

*starts kicking and slapping the test bench* Come on you SOB.

Don't make me trade you for a threadripper.

Are you doing a quick and dirty all core or per core uv ?
Take your time, enjoy it !
I'm sure you'll be rewarded with a bit of patience ;)

I am just doing the quick and dirty and I enjoy it the same whether I did per core or all core. I did previously spent a lot of time doing it per core on my old 5950x. Once I hit a brick wall with the 9950x3d I will do per core but until then…

Once I am through with this I am off to go build a threadripper setup for lulz.

You will never hit 6Ghz, max boost override is 200 which is the 5,925, close enough. Even if it did you could never maintain it on a multi core workload due to temps and the way the chip works.

The CPU has arrived, and Haribo has also been confirmed, so RMA is unnecessary.

Is BCLK OC not doable on the 9950X3D?

It’s worked well with my 5950X for years, and pushed the clocks higher.

Have you tried CoreCycler?

It can get a bit tedious doing per core, something im not looking forward to.

Not sure but it won't sustain it in a multicore load. Even with 200 Boost I can't and I have 3 rads just cooling the chip. 420, 240 and 360. They are in there when I eventually get a watercooled 5090

I'm back in the game !

It was my motherboard. I, err, bent the socket pins.

New board working beautifully !

Edit - hang on ....

Anyone else only seeing 8 cores and 16 threads in Windows (Task Manager, Cinebench, HW Monitor, CPUID) ... ? All 32 "processors" are shown in Device Manager, and its showing there as

I've checked the bios and the turbo mode is disabled.... any ideas?

Yes, windows 11, patched to latest, latest chipset drivers, latest bios on my motherboard.

That would be a no. That special gaming mode where it runs on the X3D ccd?

Did you update the BIOS on the new motherboard?

Is this a new Windows install or your old one that had the 8 core CPU? Could be a driver issue if it's the latter.

Run Ryzen Master, that should tell you for sure if the system is seeing 16 cores.
